We have, for years, published a “Christ- mas Ship” for Federation Commander. With the advent of Shapeways, Steve Zamboni, one of our sculptors, was kind enough to create miniatures for the Sleigh, Christmas Tree, Star, Candy Cane, Snowflake, and Gingerbread Man. These immediately produced calls by ACTASF players to provide game stats for the new Christmas miniatures. Stephen V. Cole (who had created all of the North Polar ships for FC and who had done the layout for ACTASF1.2 and ACTASF2.1) quickly N created this small booklet. He took a first pass at doing the ship de- O scription pages in one day and ACTASF developer Tony Thomas was R kind enough to fill in the missing data in one night. T H

F L E An independent entity inside the Federation, the North Polar Republic is centered on the planet Arcticalia which orbits the E star Polaris. The diminutive but industrious people who live there are genetically related the Vulcans, but have average human- oid intelligence and a sparkling sense of humor. Their republic is a rich one, generating far more resources than they could ever T need, but rather than trading with Federation planets they give away their wealth to planets undergoing some crisis or disaster, or to planets which appear (to the government of the Elvenolore folk) to need a boost to their spirits in order to reach higher orders of cultural development. The galaxy is a dangerous place, however, and the North Polar Republic maintains a serious fleet of warships intended to not only defend their republic but to protect their ships that deliver relief and cultural supplies to other worlds.

Note: The North Polar Fleet can use all of the civlian ships including freighters, the Free Trader, the Federation Express courier, and the Priority Transport. The standard restriction of one civilian ship per fleet remains in force, plus any convoys provided by the scenario.

Shapeways: All ten of the ACTASF Christmas ships are on Shapeways in both 3788 and 3125 scale. Santa’s Sleigh is also in 7000 scale. The Battle Station (the eleventh unit) is in Omni scale.
