Pieces of a Woman
PIECES OF A WOMAN Directed by Kornél Mundruczó Starring Vanessa Kirby, Shia LaBeouf, Molly Parker, Sarah Snook, Iliza Shlesinger, Benny Safdie, Jimmie Falls, Ellen Burstyn **WORLD PREMIERE – In Competition – Venice Film Festival 2020** **OFFICIAL SELECTION – Gala Presentations – Toronto International Film Festival 2020** Press Contacts: US: Julie Chappell | [email protected] International: Claudia Tomassini | [email protected] Sales Contact: Linda Jin | [email protected] 1 SHORT SYNOPSIS When an unfathomable tragedy befalls a young mother (Vanessa Kirby), she begins a year-long odyssey of mourning that touches her husband (Shia LaBeouf), her mother (Ellen Burstyn), and her midwife (Molly Parker). Director Kornél Mundruczó (White God, winner of the Prix Un Certain Regard Award, 2014) and partner/screenwriter Kata Wéber craft a deeply personal meditation and ultimately transcendent story of a woman learning to live alongside her loss. SYNOPSIS Martha and Sean Carson (Vanessa Kirby, Shia LaBeouf) are a Boston couple on the verge of parenthood whose lives change irrevocably during a home birth at the hands of a flustered midwife (Molly Parker), who faces charges of criminal negligence. Thus begins a year-long odyssey for Martha, who must navigate her grief while working through fractious relationships with her husband and her domineering mother (Ellen Burstyn), along with the publicly vilified midwife whom she must face in court. From director Kornél Mundruczó (White God, winner of the Prix Un Certain Regard Award, 2014), with artistic support from executive producer Martin Scorsese, and written by Kata Wéber, Mundruczó’s partner, comes a deeply personal, searing domestic aria in exquisite shades of grey and an ultimately transcendent story of a woman learning to live alongside her loss. -

The annual series is held in MoMA PS1's courtyard, which this year will feature a temporary urban landscape by CODA called Party Wall, the winning design of the 14th annual Young Architects Program. This year, Warm Up will be once again conceived by a curatorial committee, selected by the museum to represent a wide spectrum of expertise in music, sound, and the performing arts. Selected by MoMA PS1 Director Klaus Biesenbach and organized by MoMA PS1 Assistant Curator Eliza Ryan, the Warm Up 2013 committee includes: Dean Bein, Head of True Panther Sounds; Kris Chen, Head of XL Recordings; Jonathan Galkin, Co-Founder of DFA Records; Brandon Stosuy, Editor for Pitchfork; Matt Werth, Head of RVNG Intl; and Imogene Strauss, as MoMA PS1 Bookings and Stage Manager. -

Fabric 95: Roman Flügel Label: Fabric Records Date: 13
Artist: Roman Flügel Title: fabric 95: Roman Flügel Label: fabric Records Date: 13. October 2017 Cat: fabric189 Formats: CD/ Digital Pre-order: http://www.fabriclondon.com/store/fabric-95.html Roman Flügel’s path has been a musical one since childhood: beating drums in his basement, experimenting with all manner of gear under the watchful gaze of his uncle’s pin ups, turning his understanding of the world upside down with young forays to the Omen club and eventually abandoning his classical music studies for an unparalleled career in electronic music. With the release of his very first productions in the early 90s he became part of the legendary German label family of ‘Playhouse’, ’Klang Elektronik’ and ‘Ongaku’ - where he would release almost all his early music. At the same time, alongside Ata, Heiko M.S.O. and Jörn Wuttke, Roman stumbled into the music business and the Frankfurt Techno scene, with clubs like Omen and Offenbach’s Robert Johnson. A few years later, the crew will have formed the spine of the scene for a decade or more spawning notable sounds, trends, scenes and more than a few classic hits - like Flugel's and Wuttke’s ‘Rocker’ as Alter Ego (forever an immortal highlight of fabric’s Room 1 stage), Isoleé’s ‘Beau Mot Plage’ or Villalobos’ ‘Easy Lee / Dexter’. “The Club has been incredibly supportive for so many years now! I will never forget our first Live performance as Alter Ego during the peak of the success of our single ‘Rocker’ in Room One. It was pure mayhem. -
PRESSEMITTEILUNG 04.07.2017 the Horrors Im November Mit
FKP Scorpio Konzertproduktionen GmbH Große Elbstr. 277 a ∙ 22767 Hamburg Tel. So geht wahre Coolness. -
