Mark your calendar for the Post CAMA - Municipal Government Forum and Study Tour being held in Moncton on May 31st 2018. CAMA members Marc Landry and Don MacLellan from the City of Moncton, Marc Melanson from the City of Dieppe and Colin Smith from the Town of Riverview are looking forward to hosting you.

Following the CAMA conference or on route to the FCM Conference in Halifax, squeeze in an extra day of information sharing and engaging discussion with yours peers on a variety of relevant topics. Bernard Lord, past Premier of and Chief Executive Officer of Medavie will be our guest speaker at lunch. This is a great professional development opportunity allowing attendees to collaborate and learn from their peers. To ensure an engaging forum experience and to maximize the discussion with your peers, we are capping the registration to 50 attendees so book your seat early to avoid disappointment!

Moncton is a short 2 hour - 180 km drive from Fredericton. Carpooling from Fredericton is encouraged. Names of drivers will be posted at the CAMA conference if you are interested in this transportation mode.

The host municipalities of Moncton-Dieppe-Riverview are eager to welcome you to our region. There is no cost to participants for this forum. Lunch and dinner on May 31st are on us!

A golf opportunity at one of Moncton’s premier golf courses or a regional tour could also be arranged on Friday June 1st.

12:30 – 1:30 pm Lunch at Venn Innovation, Moncton Guest Speaker Bernard Lord Chief Executive Officer, Medavie Bernard Lord became Chief Executive Officer of Medavie in September 2016 to provide strategic leadership to further the company’s mission to improve the wellbeing of . Prior to this role, he spent eight years on the Board of Medavie and was President and CEO of the Canadian Wireless Telecommunication Association of Canada. He sits on boards of several companies and organizations, including as Chair of Ontario Power Generation. Mr. Lord served as from 1999 to 2006.

1:30 – 3:30 pm Roundtable open discussion on a variety of topics such as: • The future of protective services (IAFF and the cities’ ability to pay) • Density (Urban sprawl / smart city planning) • Efficiency in municipal service delivery, continuous improvement • Budget costs saving best practices • Municipal priorities
