You can see from the previous location maps that Parklands at Windaroo is strategically located and in close proximity to all local amenities. The local authority is Logan Shire Council however we are advised by Council Planning Officers that the subject property is still governed by the existing Gold Coast City Council Town Planning Scheme 2003, until such time as a new planning scheme is adopted. Electricity, sewerage, telephone and town water are all connected to the site. Streets are sealed typical suburban streets with concrete kerbing and channelling. Shops, schools, transport and local amenities are all mentioned below.

Parklands at Windaroo is situated in the southern most part of Windaroo which is an established residential suburb located approximately 5 kilometres south of the Beenleigh CBD. The subject area is a developing residential area with the partly developed Windaroo Outlook residential estate situated nearby to the north west of Parklands at Windaroo. The more established areas of Windaroo and Bahrs Scrub are situated further to the north and north east of Parklands.

All lots at Parklands at Windaroo are regular shaped, dead level, suitable building sites which are naturally contoured and positioned at road level. The lots are cleared and access is easy and direct.

The M1 is located within 7k’s from Parklands at Windaroo with access via Beenleigh or Yatala. Brisbane CBD is a 25 minute drive north and the Gold Coast is also 25 minutes drive south.

Railway

The Beenleigh Railway Station is located in James Street, Beenleigh and is within 6k’s from Parklands at Windaroo giving easy access to Brisbane or the Gold Coast. It is only an 8 minute drive to the Station from Parklands. The Ormeau/Pimpama Railway Station is also within 18k’s or a 15 minute drive from the estate.

Schools

There are several local schools and kindergartens within 6k’s radius of the site including and not limited to Windaroo Valley High, Mt Warren Park Primary, Beenleigh State Primary, Windaroo Preschool and Eagleby South Preschool and Primary. The Rivermount College private school is located in Yatala and is only a short 10 minute drive. There are many more options for schools located in surrounding suburbs.

Shopping Centres

Woolworths has just recently secured the site immediately adjoining Parklands at Windaroo.

There are also two IGA’s in close proximity (2-6k’s) to the development with Mt Warren Park and Beenleigh’s main Town Centre is only a short 5-10 minute drive from Parklands at Windaroo. Located in Beenleigh is the Beenleigh Market Place, Big W and the Mitre 10 Mega store. Located in Logan just 13k’s to the north is IKEA just off the M1 and the Logan Hyperdome. Westfield Shopping Town at Helensvale is a 20 minute drive south from the Parklands. The proposed Windaroo Village Shopping Centre is planned for the northern end of Parklands at Windaroo.
