Skatepark in Springbrook… Yes Please!

The Springbrook Community Skatepark Committee is relatively new in Springbrook but it’s already making big waves within the community. Starting in the fall of 2012 as a community initiative to explore the possibility of building a Skatepark in Springbrook the Springbrook Community Skatepark Committee, or SC2 for short, has already made great strides. With a small but dedicated group of volunteers the group has been able to establish an executive committee, establish a partnership with the Springbrook Community Association and have a couple guest speakers from prominent skatepark design companies from Western Canada. There is still a lot to do though, with a goal of raising $500,000 in the next 3 years, the work is just beginning! When an emergency happens in your community, it may take emergency responders some time to reach you. You should be prepared to take care of yourself and your family for a minimum of 72 hours. By doing this you are enabling first responders to focus on those in urgent need.
