A self-taught master of HTML, Michael launched websites for Perris Records, Creative Communications, Sportmart, and Montgomery Ward. But it was KISS Otaku – his KISS fan site launched in 1995 – that would change his fortunes forever. In 1998, Gene Simmons of KISS discovered KISS Otaku and personally tapped Michael as the Director of Web Services at Signatures Network, a Sony/CMGi company, where he built-from-scratch, managed and grew KISSonline into a multi-million dollar enterprise with over of a half million visitors a month.

  • Study Guide Left but Really Right
STUDY GUIDE LEFT BUT REALLY RIGHT KEY TERMS: conservative liberal industry competitive success NOTE-TAKING COLUMN: Complete this section during the CUE COLUMN: Complete this section after video. Include definitions and key terms. the video. What is success in life based on? What are the conservative values that many professions require? What does success rely on? How does the conservative focus on the good for the individual versus the liberal focus on the good for the masses relate to an enterprise being successful or not? How is a capitalist characterized in the video? WWW.PRAGERU.COM DISCUSSION & REVIEW QUESTIONS: • At the beginning of the video we learn that, “Success relies on absolute truths, on supply and demand, on work and reward, on competition, and on achievement, not group identity.” Then Mr. Gutfeld claims that, “…if liberals applied their no-score, no-winner, no-loser belief systems to their hobbies or professions, they would fail miserably.” Do you agree with this assertion? Why or why not? What are some examples that would support your answer? How can people be successful in any endeavor or industry without hard work and achievement? • When Mr. Gutfeld refers to the liberal paradigm as “…no-score, no-winner, no-loser belief systems…” he is eluding to their maxims of “feelings are more important than outcomes” and “everybody should be treated equally.” How are conservative values and the liberal paradigm different in terms of defining success? Which school of thought is better suited to financial and business success? Why? • When explaining the example about exercise, Mr. Gutfeld states, “For the amount of effort you put in, you reap the reward you deserve.” Here, he is describing a fundamental principle of conservatism -- merit.

Two Lives: Animation and Development. Una Gallagher B00475908 MDes Design Communication, DES811, Paul McKevitt, School of creative Arts, University of Ulster. 1 Abstract “Two Lives” is a story split into two versions, a comic and an animation adaptation. Digital art, hand drawing, traditional animation and rotoscope animation are all combined to make these pieces a reality. “Two Lives” was produced by Pearlmoon Productions which was also founded during its production. The Author of this piece is co-founder of Pearlmoon Productions and oversees all creative direction, animation production, comic production, art, idea development, editing, visual presence, branding and many other roles within the group. The goal of “Two Lives” is to create a standalone story for the purpose of providing entertainment that can be enjoyed across many platforms. It was created using traditional and digital mediums and it is influenced heavily on eastern styled animation and comics. As part of that aim, Pearlmoon Productions serves a similar purpose, aiming to give multi-platform life to continuations, new project, and other forms of entertainment. “Two Lives” was reviewed well by peers and the production went smoothly. Future work derived from “Two Lives” will be a sequel comic book chronicling the continued stories of the main characters as they continue their lives. 1. Introduction “Two Lives” is both a comic book and animation that aims to bring a story into several mediums to create a new perspective on the story itself. Pearlmoon Productions was the name given to the people who created both the design, animation and the visual elements and the music and sound creators.

When KISS Rocked Cadillac foto.gettyimages.com/archive/rarely-seen/when-kiss-rocked-cadillac-never-seen-photos-from-1975/ never-seen photos KISS was on the cusp of superstardom when a small, conservative town in northern Michigan invited the band to visit. The rest is rock history. Fin Costello/Redferns Published July 19, 2018 Published 2 months ago It sounds like a Hollywood screenwriter's fantasy: a small-town high-school football team turns around a losing season, inspired by the music of wildly theatrical rock and rollers from New York. The team contacts the group with an unlikely ask: Would they consider visiting, so the town can say thanks? The band, on the cusp of superstardom, agrees — resulting in one of the most improbable, wholesome, heartwarming stories in rock history. But this was no movie: the year was 1975; the town was Cadillac, Michigan; and the band was KISS. Here, after unearthing never-seen photos from the event, FOTO celebrates an unrepeatable pop-culture moment, and speaks with a man who helped make it happen. 1/14 Fin Costello/Redferns ROLLING THUNDER Jim Neff (above, at right, in light-colored pants) was a 28-year-old assistant football coach and history teacher at Cadillac High in 1974 when the varsity Vikings experienced a rocky 0-2 start to the season. "I was a big KISS fan," Neff told FOTO, "and I started playing their music in the locker room to get the team fired up." When the Vikings started winning, Neff wrote to KISS' management to let them know about the team's reversal of fortune.
