etired professional baseball player Kenny Rogers, who spent 12 seasons in a uniform, has listed his mansion-estate in Westlake, Texas, for sale at $14.697 R million.

The home, designed by Richard Drummond Davis and built in 2004, sits among hills and meadows on 24 acres with a country French chateau, a guest house, a pool, an outdoor entertainment pavilion and a custom barn with two stalls.

Clad in hardwood and stone, the home features vaulted interiors, exposed beams, delicate molding, custom wood built-ins and stone fireplaces. The 12,316 square feet of living space includes an elevator, a gourmet kitchen, a formal dining room, a living room, a solarium, a wood- paneled library/study, five bedrooms, six full bathrooms and nine fireplaces.

The master suite sports two full bathrooms, two fireplaces, a private sitting room and heated flooring. The guest house adds an additional bedroom, two bathrooms and a kitchen.

Covered loggias open onto formal gardens and a central courtyard. A fire pit, two ponds, equine facilities and a pool and large expanses of lawn and meadows also reside on the grounds.

Rogers, 49, played for six teams across a span of 20 seasons including the Rangers, and Tigers. A four-time All-Star and five-time -winner, he retired in 2008 with a 219-156 career record.
