Beitr. 49/1 677-686 28.7.2017 New records of leafrollers reared in Azerbaijan (Lepidoptera: Tortricidae) Sheyda MAHARRAMOVA & Hamit AYBERK A b s t r a c t : 17 species of tortricid moths had been defined for the eastern parts of Azerbaijan during the years of 1994-2015. Five of these, Ptycholoma lecheana (LINNAEUS, 1758), Cacoecimorpha pronubana HÜBNER, 1799, Eudemis profundana ([DENIS & SCHIFFERMÜLLER], 1775), Hedya salicella (LINNAEUS, 1758), and Epinotia demarniana (FISCHER VON RÖSLERSTAMM, 1840), are new to the Azerbaijan fauna; two of them (Cacoecimorpha pronubana and Epinotia demarniana) are new to the Caucasian fauna, as well. Leafrollers were collected in the larval and pupal stage from March to September on their food plants according to the sampling methods. The early stages were kept in the laboratory until adult emergence, after which they were killed and pinned. Data on newly recorded leafrollers are given in the text including species name, collection area, coordinates of area, data of collection, food plants on which they were recorded, and sex of specimen(s). Key words: Tortricids, damage, host plants, Azerbaijan, fauna. Introduction Tortricidae, commonly known as leafrollers, are one of the most diverse families in the Microlepidoptera. The number of leafroller species in countries bordering Azerbaijan differs among the adjacent regions: 469 species are recorded from Turkey (KOÇAK & KEMAL 2012), 145 species from Iran (KOÇAK & KEMAL 2012), and 139 species from Georgia (ESARTIA 1988). -

In this study, we summarize the results of studies on the disease and its causative agent Leishmania in humans, vectors and reservoirs in the Golestan Province, Iran. Methods: We retrieved all articles related to leishmaniasis in the Golestan Province, northern Iran from 1994 to 2018 in various databases including PubMed, Scopus and Web of Science. Articles in Persian were retrieved from the IranMedex, SID and Magiran. Reference lists of relevant articles were also hand-searched. Local active re- searchers in the field of leishmaniasis were contacted to avoid missing any relevant articles. Overall, 54 papers were extracted, later evaluated by two research team members based on inclusion criteria. All analyses were per- formed using the Stata 14 software. Pooled prevalence was calculated using the metaprop command and a ran- dom-effect model. The I² statistic was used for measuring heterogeneity of studies. -

Fungi Associated with Harvested Corn Grains of Golestan Province in Iran

Corn grains during harvest and post-harvest infected by several fungi seed borne, including toxin- producer fungi which the fungi are major share in digestive disease such as cancer in humans and animals. To determine mycoflora corn grains harvested was sample from maize cultivated regions in Golestan province such as Gorgan, Kordkuy, and Bandar gaz, Gonbad, Minoodasht and Kalale. To isolate fungi from maize seeds was used freeze Blotter method. In study, means of incidences Fusarium spp. were the highest (35.2%), followed by Aspergillus spp. (2.9%), Penicillium spp. (1.1%), Rhizopus spp. (2.3%), Mucor spp. (1.4%), and Alternaria spp. (0.2%). Among Fusarium species studied (51.8% of the total isolations), F. Proliferatum(90.1, 42.6%) had the highest percentages of frequency and the highest incidence in Gorgan. 3.5% of all samples were infected by A. flavus species which its of frequency and incidence were 2 and 40.2 percent, respectively and the highest level of infection was belonged to Bandare gaz seeds studied. -

CABMIN.GOV.AZ 23.07.2020 The first meeting of the new State Commission on Climate Change was held On July 23, 2020, the first meeting (video conference) of the new Commission was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the State Commission on Climate Change Ali Ahmadov.İThe meeting discussed the work done to implement the commitments made by the Republic of Azerbaijan in accordance with the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change approved by the Republic of Azerbaijan. The meeting also discussed the action plan of the Working Group established by the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan No. 1920 dated March 11, 2020 to determine the activities of the State Commission on Climate Change and ensure the activities of the State Commission. Chairman of the State Commission Ali Ahmadov gave instructions on the preparation of relevant reports, action plans, proposals for the establishment of a monitoring, reporting and inspection system in priority areas related to the necessary activities, as well as the need to attract domestic and foreign funding and increase awareness in this area.
