Belgium Master Class and Free Pour Tasting Belgium Master class and free pour tasting Thursday, 26 April 2018 WineWise Antwerp #AussieWine 1 Wine regions Welcome DARWIN of Australia It is our pleasure to bring you a selection of Australian wines to taste today here in Antwerp. There are so many reasons to be excited about Australian wine, from its modern and evolving styles; the alternative varieties being planted and, as always, the people and the stories behind the wines. The day kicks off with a master class presented by Sarah Ahmed, The Wine Detective, expert in Australian wine and Honorary Australian Woman of Wine, Australian Women in Northern Territory Wine Awards 2017. She will take you through our theme of the Evolution of Chardonnay Queensland and Shiraz, exploring Australia’s rich heritage and the changes that the winemakers have brought about in the last few years. This will come to life in the tasting of 12 wines, which Western Australia will serve as a perfect introduction to the free pour tasting. Our free pour tasting demonstrates the diversity of Australian wine through the hero 28 South Eastern styles of the regions. With over 60 regions across the country, we have chosen iconic, South Australia Australia* BRISBANE 29 classic and modern styles which reflect their regional persona from some of the New South Wales 30 best-known regions, and a few that you may not have tasted recently. 1 31 2 We hope that you’ll find wines that will delight and surprise you, and would encourage 10 PERTH 33 32 3 11 you to share your discoveries with us on Twitter @Wine_Australia using #AussieWine, or 14 44 34 12 35 4 15 6 13 36 5 16 37 SYDNEY on Instagram @wineaustralia. 8 9 17 21 38 7 ADELAIDE 39 19 20 45 47 40 41 18 43 48 22 42 CANBERRA 49 23 Victoria 46 Australian We are delighted to return to Belgium to host this tasting, and happy to be here in such a 24 55 54 52 50 51 26 56 Capital Territory Western Australia Queensland 25 59 57 53 60 58 27 62 64 dynamic market.
