• It is 10-20 times cheaper to transport the same amount of energy via a pipeline than via an electricity cable. • The cost to convert a natural gas pipeline to a hydrogen pipeline is about 5-10% of the cost to build a new pipeline.
Finally the cost for electricity transport via a new cable is 100-200 times more expensive than the cost for hydrogen transport via a converted natural gas pipeline
