A Nation Engaged WPR at 100 Rachael Vasquez Centennial Celebrations Free Garden Talk Events

As Trump Wraps 100 Days, NPR Listens

As the Trump presidency approaches its 100th day, NPR continues to listen to communities around the country with the project A Nation Engaged. This time, they're posing this question: How powerful should any American president be?

NPR member stations in Georgia, Missouri, Iowa and California will gather listeners for town hall-style events that explore questions of power and the presidency.

Says You!, public radio's quintessential quiz show, comes to Eau Claire and La Crosse for some raucous word-play and audience participation. On May 6, Says You! presents Eau Claire D'Loon at the Lismore Hotel, beginning at 7 p.m. The UW-La Crosse Student Union's Grand Bluffs Ballroom is the site for At La Crosse for Words, May 7 at 1:30 p.m. Both shows will be recorded for national broadcast and will feature the Says You! cast of regular panelists, a surprise guest panelist and live music.

Join Larry Meiller for Two Free Garden Talk Events

Garden enthusiasts will enjoy two opportunities to attend a live broadcast of Larry Meiller's Garden Talk.

On Friday, May 12, Garden Talk will be broadcast live from the Bayfield Lakeside Pavilion as part of the 14th annual Bayfield in Bloom. Guests include Jason Fischbach, Don Kissinger and Art Ode. This event is free and open to the public.

On Friday, June 23, Garden Talk presents a live broadcast from the Green Bay Botanical Gardens. This event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Guests include Vija Pandian from UW-Extension and staff from the botanical gardens.

Audience members at both events should arrive at 10:45 a.m. for the 11 a.m. live broadcast.
