Lazreg General Directorate of Water Resources, Ministry of Agriculture, Tunisia ABSTRACT: Flooding problem raised seriously in the watershed of Medjerda in Tunisia indeed flood risk factors still exists for some cities. Studies forecasting and flood management may be important to ad- dress these problems. In this context, the axis "Flood Mapping and modeling" of the project "Improving of water resources management and adaptation to climate change - Tunisia", funded by the GEF - World Bank, coordinated by the Regional Centre for Remote Sensing of North Africa States, supported by NASA and conducted jointly by the Ministry of Agriculture, the National Centre for Cartography and Remote Sensing and the National Institute of Meteorology, aims to establish a reliable model for flood forecasting of Medjerda major hydrometric stations. Following the parsimonious concept of parameters, simplified models for flood forecasting based only on flood routing have been developed for flood-prone sites located downstream of a gauged station and at a distance allowing an appropriate forecasting lead- time. In this context, the Muskingum model can be a useful tool. A model for real-time flood forecasting in river systems with large drainage areas has been developed. Flow variations between upstream and downstream stations are interlinked and are typically governed by reach properties.

The border Haddada (Oum Teboul, El Kala), Oum Teboul is a village located in the commune of Souarekh (of which it is the capital), in the Wilaya of El Tarff, in Algeria, it is located 10 km to the Tunisian border. From the Tunisian side, there are the customs office and Tunisian National Tourist Office in place. The free zone and the port are 78 km far from the border, and different facilities such as weighbridge scale and fuel station are available around. From the Algerian side, the custom office available to facilitate and organize the custom clearance process at the border. 160,000 passengers took this route during July 2018. On the other hand, the border post of El Aïoun (El Kala, El Tarf), located 15 km south of that of Oum Teboul. equipped with the device of "autopassage", rather commercial, it is less used by trucks and passengers who still have to ignore that the Tunis-Ghardimaou highway has been open since November 2016 in Bou Salem, between Djendouba and Béja, only 70 km from the border, which also reduces and improves the route to Tunis via El Aïoun, Aïn Draham. Zelin اﻟﻌﺮﺑﻴﺔ Also available in May 9, 2014 Security crackdowns will not be enough to eradicate jihadist networks in Tunisia and Libya, which have the patience and ideological conviction to weather drastic reorganization. Eight months ago, the Tunisian government officially designated Ansar al-Sharia in Tunisia (AST) as a terrorist organization. Since then, Tunis has cracked down on the group's activities, going after both its dawa campaign (i.e., proselytization and social-welfare efforts) and any links members have to terrorist plots. On the whole, AST's public response has been to keep relatively quiet. Yet recent developments indicate that the group may be rebranding itself as Shabab al-Tawhid (ST; the Youth of Pure Monotheism), a shift that would have important implications for efforts to counter Tunisian jihadists and their associates in Libya. SHIFTING GEARS Within a week of the August designation, AST largely ceased releasing updates about its dawa campaign in Tunisia. The group may still be conducting lower-level dawa in rural areas outside the state's reach, but if so, it is no longer publicizing such activity. The main messages it has put out via its Twitter account have been declarations of solidarity with arrested "brothers," repeated calls for patience, and quotes from both traditional Islamic sources (the Quran and sunna) and ideological figures (e.g., Ibn Taymiyah, Sayyed Qutb, and Abu Qatada al-Filistini). Indeed, AST has kept a low profile compared to its modus operandi before the designation; its only prominent announcement was leader Abu Ayyad al-Tunisi's message of support for the Islamic State of Iraq and al-Sham (ISIS), the jihadist group deemed too extreme by senior al-Qaeda leaders and their official Syrian affiliate, Jabhat al-Nusra.
