Kings Point Bus Trips

Vesta partners with Glory Tours, a third party vendor, for all of our coach trips.

Glory Tours has been working with Vesta in offering day/overnight trips for 5 years as a part of the Kings Point coach trip operation. After analyzing extensive historical data and numerous variables while planning the upcoming bus book, Glory Tours is implementing the following new processes:

 For all RESTAURANT ONLY tours, Glory Tours will no longer have a tour guide specialist onboard. The goal is to keep these trips affordable by eliminating the expense of a tour guide for these simple outings.  Some tours will now have a 40 person signup minimum vs a 35 person signup mini- mum to also help bring down the cost. Please note: Glory Tours has high standards for the bus companies they partner with to ensure they provide the most reliable, safe and comfortable transportation services. Sometimes that level of performance means slightly higher fees than residents are used to, but we feel the new processes and higher minimum for some tours will offset the slight increase in cost.  For any trips at risk of being cancelled for not meeting the minimum sign up requirement, but are close, Glory Tours will survey each person on the signup sheet to see if participants are willing to pay approximately $2-$5 more per person to keep the trip from cancelling. This is necessary to cover the cost of the trip with less riders.  In addition, Glory Tours will also utilize a smaller shuttle bus for trips when it is feasible, and when we have enough residents signed up to also help avoid cancellation of a trip.  Rays Games-Glory Tours is moving designated seats to a less expensive section, but still allowing for some upgrades at an additional cost, if you choose to sit closer. This will also bring the cost down for the more expensive games that are not on Thursdays (Ray vs. Yankees, Red Sox, Tigers, etc.)

One final note, it’s extremely important that you remove your name from the signup sheet if you are no longer able to go. Glory Tours relies heavily on the sign up numbers to determine if a trip has met the minimum requirement. Glory Tours understands circumstances arise, but if too many sign up and do not remove their names, it impacts those that have signed up. If you need to remove your name and you are not able to make it up to the clubhouse, you can also call the Transportation Department at 387-3470 and they will be glad to assist you.

If you missed the deadline, please ALWAYS still check availability, as the deadline date only determines if the minimum requirement is met by that date and not the purchase deadline date.

We hope you are excited about the offerings in the Bus Book and look forward to seeing you all “on the bus”!!

Bus Trip Information

Q: What does it mean when the description says Box Office or Transportation Office?

A: If a description says “Transportation” directly underneath the cost of the trip, it means the trip requires pre-registration to ensure a minimum of 40 people are interested in going on the trip. Once a minimum of 35 people have signed up, everyone on the list will be called to the Box Office to purchase an actual ticket. If pre-registration numbers are not met by the deadline, the trip will be cancelled and Glory Tours will notify all who signed up via email, if an email address is provided on the registration sheet. If you missed a deadline, still check availability at the KPCH Box Office.

If the description says“ Box Office” directly underneath the cost of a trip, it means the tickets for the trip are already on sale at the Box Office and can be purchased during Box Office hours, M-F 8:30AM-4:30PM.

Remember, early registration ensures successful trips.

When purchased, all ticketed tours are non-refundable. Tours go rain or shine, unless the event is cancelled by the venue/vendors due to weather conditions.

Bus transportation is included in the price of every trip. Please read the description carefully for more details on whether there are additional admission and or food charges. If food is not offered in the description, please be sure to plan meals accordingly. Gratuity not included in cost. All tours and pricing are subject to change.
