Global trends and Chinese consumer insights, combined with some big data, help us to develop these new flavors.” Mengniu and Yili speed up the construction of factories On May 28, Mengniu held a ceremony for the beginning of the construction of a dairy beverage factory in Jiaozuo, Henan Province. It is a liquid dairy factory with intelligent, automated and informative features, and will become the largest dairy production and processing factory of Mengniu Group. On May 29, Yili Group decided to continue to invest 2 billion RMB in the construction of a liquid milk production factory in Lindian County, Daqing City, which will become the largest liquid milk production factory in Northeast China. Earlier in January, Yili also invested 2.1 billion RMB in Wuwei City, Gansu Province, to build a production factory that can provide 1800 tons of liquid milk per day. NOVEMBER 2019 In the minds of many investors, Chinese state-owned enterprises (SOEs) conjure up images of moribund and bloated companies that are run for policy objectives and not profits. It’s true that state-owned enterprises are less efficient than private firms in China.
