Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest 2015: Prize Money and Purse Payout Details Personal Finance Syndication Network - http://pfsyn.com The Fourth of July traditionally calls for watching a baseball game or fireworks with a hot dog in hand (or three). But even if you tend to overeat on all-American dishes on this food-centric holiday, your over- indulgence is probably nothing compared to the food an elite group of athletes will be gorging themselves on — and the money they’ll be earning — competing in Nathan’s Famous International Hot Dog Eating Contest on July 4. This annual eating competition, staged at Coney Island in New York City, is a bona fide sporting event (participants are even referred to as athletes). It’s a true nationally-televised contest of intestinal fortitude between the world’s bravest and best competitive eaters. On Saturday afternoon, the competitors will race against the clock to down as many hot dogs as they can within 10 minutes and get a chance at a piece of the total $40,000 purse payout. Nathan’s Hot Dog Contest Prize Money Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest is as historic as the company itself. Started in 1916, the 2015 contest marks the 99th time that fans and contestants alike have gathered from across the world (and aspiring contestants) to watch this amazing feat of hot dog consumption; in recent years, according to the Nathan’s Famous website, the event has attracted up to 35,000 spectators. Top Ten Restaurants in the Eastern District of Texas By: John M
Top Ten Restaurants In The Eastern District of Texas By: John M. Jackson Jackson Walker Partner 901 Main Street, Suite 6000 Dallas, Texas 75202 214.953.6109 [email protected] Over the past few years, I have made countless trips to various federal courthouses in the Eastern District of Texas. Whether in town for a trial, a hearing or a case management conference, I will inevitably try a new restaurant. Due to my culinary diversity (competitive eater,1 oenophile and foodie), I have sampled a wide variety of fare within the Eastern District of Texas boundary. Perhaps not surprisingly, my dining experiences have varied wildly, ranging from amazing to wretched, and everywhere in between. Because many patent litigators and clients have asked me to provide restaurant recommendations for their trips to the Eastern District over the past few years (and because this article promised to be more fun than last issue's discussion of In re Volkswagen), I decided to assemble a list of my top ten restaurants within the Eastern District. In addition to listing each establishment, I also provide some brief comments so that you will know whether or not each restaurant is better for lunch, dinner or a post-hearing/trial drink. Armed with this list, hopefully each of you will have one less thing to worry about the next time you are in the Eastern District of Texas. Some of you will be surprised to see three restaurants from Plano on this list. But, as many of you filing motions to transfer will soon learn, Plano - a Dallas suburb - is located in the Sherman Division of the Eastern District of Texas. -
Destiny 2 Eater of Worlds Guide
Destiny 2 eater of worlds guide Continue For all of you tenacious D Instructablers, here's a cool way to make your own POD. There are a few nuances of PODs online. Get someone who's talking to you. If you follow the instructions from a tablet, iPod or smartphone, it will benefit you. There are several different plastic materials as you can use. I used polycarbonate, but you can use acrylic, plexiglass, etc. POD made from mirror lucite can be sweet too. (Note: Everything you choose to use should be 1/8th inch thick. Using a thin point sharpie MARKER, trace your design on plastic. If you're using the device, just put it on the screen. Your device will be fine. Draw it in its entirety, not just your plan. I recommend drawing it on the corner of your plastic to save space and make cutting easier. Cut your POD design with your Dremel. Simply square around your POD and cut the square. Then, carefully cut the shape. Use a grinding disc attachment. Or, if you have a Dremel friendly circular saw blades, it's even better. Make sure your incision is free of burrs, plastic strings, or bark. Using the dot tip of your choice, drill your lines. Once all your lines are defined and your satisfied, clean all the leftovers and plastic bits on your POD. Using the Dremel brush attachment, shrug off the insides of your lines. It'll make everything smooth. Be graceful or you scratch your POD. To remove your sharpie lines, use some Ajax or comet or other bleach powder. -
