Introduction: Rotterdam-The Hague Airport is faced with a large accessibility issue. The airport is currently only easily accessible by car; 78% of the visitors to Rotterdam The Hague come by car. In addition to (inter)national travellers, this also concerns people who work at the airport, or companies that are located around it. The airport would like to experiment with new mobility solutions. MaaS can enable a seamless and smooth door-to-door journey, improve the accessibility of the airport and increase the level of service for the traveller. The MaaS service provider creates transparency in the demand for mobility, which can lead to the development of new products or the adaptation of services. Approach: The MaaS pilot will start with a focus on Rotterdam-The Hague Airport. The airport already has specific knowledge about the different types of passengers using the airport and how to reach them (e.g. airlines and travel professionals). This is valuable knowledge that will be made available to the MaaS service provider and to which the travel advice can be adapted. The (inter)national traveller is a separate target group because, for example, they usually travel with luggage and therefore do not want to use all types of mobility services.

    De standerdmolen van de “fortresse” Bourtange door G. S. Koeman-Poel In ondoorgrondelijk duister bleef verborgen de juiste bouwdatum van de eerste walmolen in het kleine fort Bourtange. Een ongedateerde plattegrond uit het Koninklijk Huisarchief geeft op e~n der bastions een kruisje aan. Misschien een aanduiding, dat daar al in de jongste dagen van de vesting een molen stond (1)*. (Bourtange werd opgeworpen in 1593). Het lijkt geen overdreven voorstelling van zaken. Geen garnizoen kon het stellen zonder daaglijks brood. Gebakken uit meel dat eens a16 graan naar de molen werd gebracht. Zelfs het leger te velde voerde molens mee. Op wagens geplaatste maalapparatuur, dat zeer waarschijnlijk uit handmolens zal hebben bestaan. Het jaar 1619 gaf meer zekerheid voor de eerste walmolen van het kleine maar toch zo sterke fort Bourtange. In de lente-maand van dat jaar 1619, toen het twaalfjarig bestand in de 80-jarige oorlog met Spanje, een tweede lustrum kon vieren, tekende ingenieur Schoner een kaart. Deze ingenieur van de schansen in Westerwoldingerland. maakte een plattegrond van de sterkte Bourtange. waarop duidelijk de vormen van een standerdmolen waren te onder- kennen (2). Links van de Friesche Poort, sloegen wieken gaten in de lucht boven één der ‘dwingers’ (= bastion), wieken van een standerdmolen, groot en stoer in zijn contouren. De oudste vertegenwoordiger van de windkorenmolens in Nederland. Het grote vierkante molenhuis kon in zijn geheel om de zware houten spil (standerd) draaien. Het molenhuis was aan voor- en achterzijde smaller dan aan de zijkanten. Deze bouwwijze was om zo weinig mogelijk wind op de molenkast te vangen.

Howard General introduction Ground acceleration caused by an induced earthquake is strongly dependent on the composition of local shallow soils. NAM commissioned Deltares to conduct a detailed survey of the shallow subsurface above the Groningen gas field. The survey focuses on Quaternary geology with an emphasis on the upper 50 metres. This report provides an introduction to Groningen’s Quaternary geology as a background to the comprehensive Deltares report, which has culminated in a detailed model of Groningen’s shallow subsurface. This report was written by Dr ir Erik Meijles, Assistant Professor of Physical Geography at the University of Groningen.     Tijdens de Open Monumentendag 2013 verscheen het boek: Bestekken van sarrieshutten bij de Groninger korenmolens gebouwd en herbouwd in de periode 1630 - 1805 Het boek is geschreven door B. D. Poppen, uit Uithuizen, kenner op het gebied van de Groninger molens en de sarrieshutten. Eerder schreef hij boeken over De belasting op het gemaal in Stad en Ommelanden 1594-1856 (2004) - nog verkrijgbaar; Aangestelde cherchers of opzichters bij de molens voor de belasting op het gemaal in de provincie Groningen in de periode 1629- 1809 (2013) - beperkte oplage en over de Groninger molenhistorie (2012). Het nu verschenen boek kan worden beschouwd als het derde deel van een trilogie over de intrigerende geschiedenis die zich gedurende enige eeuwen rond de Groninger korenmolens heeft afgespeeld. De sarrieshut bij de verdwenen korenmolen te ’t Zandt. In dit nieuwe boek worden de sarrieshutten, de woningen van de cherchers (controleurs), onder de loep genomen. Zo wordt de bouwgeschiedenis gevolgd van de allereerste bouw in 1630, tot en met de laatste herbouw in 1805. In de tussenliggende jaren zijn talloze reparaties aan de ruim 100 hutten uitgevoerd, die zowel in de stad Groningen als op het platteland waren gebouwd. Middels de vele in het boek opgenomen getranscribeerde bestekken, is op te maken dat de hutten in de loop der jaren niet alleen iets groter werden gebouwd, maar ook van meer comfort werden voorzien. De gedetailleerde bestekken die voor de reparaties en herbouw werden opgesteld, vormen een bijzondere bron van informatie over de toenmalige wijze van bouwen.     Inpassingsvisie verdubbeling N33, samenvatting Zuidbroek-Appingedam Inleiding De N33 Midden tussen Zuidbroek en Appingedam wordt verdubbeld. Daarmee wordt aangesloten op het deel tussen Zuidbroek en Assen dat de afgelopen jaren al is aangepakt (de N33 Zuid). Deze Inpassingsvisie brengt de ruimtelijke kansen en knelpunten in beeld voor het gebied waar de N33 Midden wordt aangelegd. De visie vormt daarmee de basis voor de verdere planuitwerking, bij het opstellen en uitwerken van alternatieven en de ruimtelijke beoordeling in het MER. Daarnaast vormt de visie het fundament voor de uitwerking van het Voorkeursalternatief (in 2018) in een Landschapsplan. Het opstellen van de Inpassingsvisie is begeleid door Rijkswaterstaat en de provincie Groningen, alsmede door een klankbordgroep met daarin verschillende overheden en maatschappelijke groeperingen. Verder is een intensieve werksessie gehouden met inwoners en vertegenwoordigers van de dorpen Siddeburen (en omgeving) en Tjuchem. Zij worden ook bij het vervolg van de planontwikkeling betrokken. Naast verdubbelen en behoud van het huidige bestaand tracé en varianten B, tracé zijn vier andere alternatieven die alle een C, X1 en X2 andere doorsnijding van het gebied ten noorden van Tjuchem tonen. Alternatief B betreft een kortere route met bogen om Tjuchem heen. Alternatief C gaat met een aantal bogen naar het noorden. De alternatieven X1 en X2 zijn voorgesteld door een inwonerscollectief en passen zoveel mogelijk in de huidige verkavelingstructuur. Legenda analyse gebied De Inpassingsvisie bestaat uit drie open zeeklei landschap hoofdonderdelen: een analyse (van gebied, beleid en tracé), de Ruimtelijke Visie en de Duurswold; wisselend open en besloten Inpassingsvisie zelf. The personal touch and the fact that their opinion is sought, was rated very positively. The study paints a clear picture of the current review of the PT in East Groningen and the ideas about its future. Furthermore the research brought to light a number of specific issues and could form a solid foundation for further development of future transport concepts that maintains the viability and accessibility of East Groningen. 2 Satisfaction with current public transport The insufficient supply of PT in the area leads to low usage and low satisfaction with the PT network.
