Auditions: T uesday, February 9 Session 1: 4:30pm-6:00pm Session 2: 6:30pm-8:00pm

**Every cast member M UST audition. **Students only need to attend o ne audition session.

Audition results will be posted on Schoology on Thursday, February 11th.

Audition Reminders 1. All students planning to audition must sign up in advance. Please use this link to sign up for auditions: M usical Audition Sign-Up Form 2. When arriving for auditions, please use the Bridge Entrance in the rear of the building. 3. Students will have their temperature taken upon arrival and will be required to answer the COVID Screening questions before being permitted to enter the building. 4. Masks are required for all students during auditions.

Character Information

● Galileo : A mis fit who k eeps hearing s trange v oices and songs in his head which deliv er messag es he c an’t understand, Galileo w on’t dr ess lik e a Ga Ga kid and has been c aught tr ying t o mak e music.

● Scaramouche: Another mis fit, who also g ets in to tr ouble with the Secr et P olice, Sc aramouche mee ts Galileo in the hospit al and the y run a way t ogether. Her sharp wit k eeps Galileo on his t oes and gr adually they f all f or each other .

● Killer Queen : Killer Queen is a ruthless business woman and is in char ge of Global Soft, the w orldwide corporation which is r esponsible f or the suppr ession of all liv e music. She’ s po wer cr azy and t ouch as w ell as beautiful.

● Khashoggi : Khashog gi w orks f or Killer Queen, g etting rid of an y cr eative music al though ts and g oing a fter the Bohemians. W ears sunglasses a t all times.

● Buddy : Buddy is an old libr arian and c omic hipp y who has s tudied the sacr ed music al t exts t o the e xtent that e ven the Se ven Seas of Rh ye c annot en tirely er ase them fr om his mind. Note: Buddy does not sing an y solo songs.

● Oz and Brit : T wo of the Bohemians who ar e in tent on disc overing the secr ets of liv e music and who belie ve that someone will c ome who will sho w the Bohemians the w ay. When the y find Sc aramouche and Galileo they ar e unsur e a t fir st, but ar e e ventually per suaded tha t Galileo r eally does ha ve s trange music al lyrics in his head o ver which he has no c ontrol.

● Secret P olice (ensemble) - These semi-aut omated char acters c arry out the bidding of the Killer Queen and Kashoggi.

● Ga Ga Kids / T een Queens (ensemble) - Living in a w orld of c onsumerism and do wnloadable music, the Ga Ga Kids don’t notice their o wn soulless-ness. ● The Bohemians (ensemble) - A gr oup of r ebels, de termined t o figh t ag ainst Global Soft and its downloadable music. Their base is T ottenham Court R oad T ube s tation and the y ha ve t aken the names of musical her oes fr om the pas t, such as P aul McCartne y, Clif f Richar d, and Brit tney Spear s.

Audition Material There are two parts to the audition. For the first part, you will be required to sing a section from one of the songs from the show. The second part is a reading audition, where you will read & act out a scene from the show. All audition materials can be found in Resources on the PGMS School Life page in Schoology. Look for the folder labeled “Musical Audition Materials.”

Some pro tips for all who plan to audition: 1. Learn your notes and rhythms using the audio files in Schoology. 2. Show some character and personality; make the performance YOUR OWN. 3. We want nothing more than to see all of you walk out on that stage like you own it!

Preparation for the Season 1. Scripts will be distributed following auditions (date TBD). 2. Rehearsals for the show will run weekly on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday beginning on February 16. Changes in the schedule will be announced ASAP. 3. We will be following all COVID protocols set forth in the Athletics COVID-19 FAQ document published by the District. Attendance at show performances is MANDATORY.
