3. Old Business

 Momentum Points and Funding:

o Opened with lots of discussion on momentum points. George to send funding spreadsheet from Don Hudson to GCAIR listserv once Don gives the okay.

 GCAIR Group Project: Course Retention and Success

o The purpose of the project is to determine best practices where differences exist between colleges.

o George presented the results gathered from San Jacinto, Brazosport College and Houston CC.

Page 1 o At this time, GCAIR has decided to only share project data with our group.

o Next Steps:

(1) Wharton (Tessa) and Galveston (Larry) committed to providing data. Send completed data sheets to George before October meeting.

(2) Cindy to contact COM (Anita) about providing data.

(3) George to create a summary of data; side by side comparison

4. New Business:

 Anita Garcia is the Interim Director of the Office of Institutional Research at College of the Mainland.

 TAIR sent out a conference proposal request for their 36th annual conference scheduled for February 18-21, 2014 in Addison. If any GCAIR members are interested in collaborating on a joint proposal, contact Cindy.

 Nominations for the 2013-14 President Elect/Secretary will be going out soon. Each college is allowed to submit one vote.

 Mark your calendars. The meeting schedule for next year is:

5. Presentation of San Jacinto College Program Review. Michelle Callaway demonstrated their new Program Evaluations. Previously the evaluations were compiled in Excel which took lots of man hours to create. Now they have been programed in SAS and turned into an automatic process saving lots of time. Very slick and great job!

 The Table of Contents listed San Jacinto’s key indicators included in each program evaluation. Michelle or George will send a copy of the table of contents to the listserv.

6. College Reports: Each college gave a report on their respective summer enrollment numbers and major initiatives.
