They represent the sixth generation of a family of eminent musicians of the Benaras Gharana. They have trained under a number of great musicians, including the famous duo, Pandits Rajan and Sajan Mishra, their father and uncle, respectively. They have performed extensively at concerts in India and abroad, and have received several prestigious awards, including the Yuva Ratna Award, the Bhavishya Jyoti Award and the Sangeet Natak Akademi’s Ustad Bismillah Khan Award, and also received a Grammy nomination.
