ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT PLAN AND POLLUTION CONTROL MEASURES OF M/S BALLIPADAR MAIN OUT STILL LIQUOR SHOP,AT- BALLIPADAR

The Country liquor manufacturing unit M/s Ballipadar Main Out Still Liquor Shop is a small scale industry and it has been operating in single distillation centre at Ballipadar of district under the guidelines of the Excise Department vide license no.- 25/2019-20 . The present licensee holder Sri Raj Narayan Pattanaik is law abiding citizens of and he is trying to her maximum to protect the Green Environment in the premises of the unit and also the branch shop’s of the said unit. The undersigned licensee holder has been taken suitable measures to prevent the Air and Water pollution. Taking to the below calculation method for the production of 1000 litre mahua liquor production , the unit produce 3480 litre mohua liquor daily.

POLLUTION AND IT’S CONTROL MEASURES

Air Pollution: During the process of brew Mahua flower distillation paddy husk has been burnt for boiling the raw material such as mixed brew Mahua flower and water. At the time of smog, it is estimated air pollution. Air Pollution Control Measure: The air pollution is mainly from emissions of air pollutants from the stacks and dust from the paddy husk. The emissions from the distillation unit are passed through air filter before releasing into atmosphere through a stack. The stack height of 11m has been built to avoid pollution to the surrounding.

Quantity of waste water generation: The unit is using fresh water for fermentation of Mahua Flower, cooking of fermented Mahua and domestic purpose. Consumption of water for fermentation & distillation will be 7.845 KLD approx. it is estimated that during the process of liquor distillation and Wash water required for washing HDPE drums of 200 ltrs capacity, about 4.146 KLD waste water is generating.

Waste water treatment measure: Trade effluent generated from the process about 4.146 KLD is treated through ETP Plant and make it usable for cooling and plantation purposes. The domestic effuluent 0.85 Kld are discharged to concrete made pit of size (8x8x10) approx. cubic feet situated inside the premises to adopt Zero Liquid discharge from unit.

Solid waste generation and it’s management to prevent air and water pollution : It is estimated that solid waste fly ash (Ash 0.335 ton per day) has been generating from the unit while burning of the paddy husk during the liquor distillation process and it is carefully dumping with tarpaulin cover in the yard, the said yard is built in the premises of the unit and regularly it is selling to the Brick Makers to prevent Air and Water pollution. Another solid waste (Mahua flower residue 0.423 ton per day) has been generating from the unit during the process of liquor distillation and it is completely stacked inside the factory premises for organic compost. The other solid wastes expected from the unit are empty drums and barrels which is using for packing product, and or returned to the product seller or sold to authorize buyers after detoxification.
