INSTRUCTIONS TO CONTRIBUTORS

Members of the Society and others are invited to communicate papers on original subjects of geological interest for publication in the Proceedings. All papers must be read at a meeting of the Society, though, at the discretion of the Council, this reading may be in title only. An author wishing to submit a paper for publication should accordingly write to the Honorary Secretary, and typescripts should be sent to him. The Council is anxious to promote rapid publication, and to this end has printed 'Notes for the guidance of authors' (see Proceedings, vol. 30, No. 7), copies of which may be obtained from the Honorary Secretary (3d. post free). The Council strongly recommends to authors the directions given in the 'Notes' as a means of reducing delays in the acceptance and printing of contributions. Discussion: Members contributing to the discussion of papers read before the Society may submit an abstract of their remarks for publication in the Proceedings. Such contributions should be sent to the Editor immediately after the meeting. PROCEEDINGS
