Robbie Williams to Release New Album in November

British pop Robbie Williams will release his first album in three years this November, record company EMI said on Wednesday. Williams, 35, who has sold 55 million worldwide, will release the album titled “Reality Killed the Video Star” globally on November 9. His first single “Bodies” will be released in October. “My album’s a killer,” Williams wrote on his blog last month. “Old Robbie, New Robbie and a Robbie that neither of us have met ... I really hope it’s as good as I think it is.” He added that he rewrote one of the songs after died with the pop star in mind. For his new album Williams recorded and mixed songs with producer in a studio in London. Horn has worked with the likes of Paul McCartney and Cher, and his old band released the 1979 hit “Video Killed the Radio Star.”

Still, Williams remains hugely popular, and a spokeswoman for record company EMI Group Plc said he sold 1.6 million tickets in one day for his 2006 tour.

One of Europe’s most successful entertainers, Williams rose to fame as a member of the hit ” before forging a successful solo career. After splitting up in 1995, his old band reformed and have staged a successful comeback in the past several years including their last album “The Circus” peaking at the top of Britain’s album charts.
