AGENDA CISAA FALL Meeting Date: Wednesday, September 11, 2018 Location: Webber Academy *parking-please turn left and park at the far South end (by the Fine Arts Theatre) parking lot Time: 8:30 am-3:00pm 8:45 am start Sr High, 10:15 am start Junior high 1.0 Call to Order (9:15) 2.0 Adoption of Agenda Bev adopted, Rick seconds 3.0 ASAA Information – Senior High Lance - Volleyball schedule Finish season Nov. 4 - 1A challenge the week after All teams have 10 games + cross over matches JV is its own Tier 3.1 Report from A.S.A.A- Joel - Deanna replacement with ASAA until June deadline for notice of motion has passed, look to June meeting for future noms Cheerleading Track & Field Option to start competitions on Thursday Rugby - smoke issue SRS - email the office for help Focus on deadline dates - use the ASAA calendars to avoid fines Student parent acknowledgement form must be signed Prinicipal form must be signed Policy changes: Honesty and full disclosure - ensures that info that is shared is accurate, helps with transfers Coaches have to be registered with SRS within 1 month of season of play Legal contingency plan fund - one time levy unless fund needs to be used Bids for spring championships by Nov. 1 for spring sports Live streaming - free through our Youtube channel exception T&F through athletics canada (there will be a fee) Coach ed - last year with school.ca - will be moved to the locker through coach.ca (concussion mandatory). New course being built for Fundamentals of coaching (lower cost too, 4 hour course). Unified sports - Shanna is the lead at ASAA Para Athletics- for T&F and xcountry Impact workshop in Olds - May 4-5 CIAAA - Nationals in Vancouver - April 18-20. Contact Drew at CIAA if you have questions Apply for bursary via CISAA ASAA elections - AGM has move to June. Will be in Leduc Sanctioning out of province teams - fill in form 30 days prior to event, permission to travel forms. $200 late fee. Question - Fundamentals of jumps online course. It’s actually geared toward HS training But same training principles. Kelly Ann - suggests leaving it up to ind.
