Best season for Expedition: April - May ( Spring ) - October - November ( Autumn ) Groups: 2 - 8 max The Three Passes Trek to Everest Base Camp is arguably one of the most challenging trek in the Everest region. The trek covers a lot of variation making a traverse between the three high passes, that is how it’s named – Renjo La, Cho La and Kongma La – each over 5,000m. The trek begins at the famous Lukla and then heading towards the famous Namche Bazaar. Here, the route splits from the main trek and heads up the Dudh Koshi valley, where you will encounter the first of the Three Passes – Renjo La (5,370m). After reaching the high point, the trail descends to the torquise Gokyo Lakes and further on to the village of Gokyo. The route then turns east as you make your way to Everest Base Camp by crossing the second pass Cho La Pass (5,420m). After the second pass you will have the opportunity to explore the iconic Everest Base Camp which presents the best views of Nuptse, Photse and surrounding peaks when you climb the iconic viewpoint of Kala Patthar finally the tallest of all Everest. Then onto the final of the Three Passes – Kongma La Pass (5,545m) and slowly descend to Lukla ending the challenging trek. Or the Itinerary can be followed in a reversal order from Kongma La pass to Renjo La pass and then to Cho-la pass. Most of our guest give tips during the end of the trek/climb. Your booking payment already consist a tip pool of $200. We will fairly distribute the tips among your drivers, assistant guides and porters. Guest also donates trekking equipments like jackets, trek poles, gloves or hats to porters which is greatly appreciated.
