Medit. 23: 5-9. 2013. — ISSN: 1120-4052 printed, 2240-4538 online. The new taxon belongs to the group Arthopyrenia rhyponta-A. punctiformis, recently trans- ferred to the problematic genus Naetrocymbe Korb. (Naetrocymbaceae Höhn. ex R.C. Harris), as it is a non or weakly lichenized group. This species is characterized by tadpole-shaped 1-sep- tate ascospores with a conical lower cell and perithecia which are 4-8 linearly arranged. Key words: Naetrocymbe, Lichenes, Italy. Introduction Naetrocymbe is a genus of pyrenocarpous ascomycetes belonging to the family Naetrocymbaceae establish by Harris (1995). This family includes species usually not lichen-forming and characterized by short-celled paraphyses with refractive bodies near the septa, obpyriform asci with a distinctive apical region lacking a nasse and short rod- shaped microconidia. It has a mainly temperate/boreal distribution. Because of some Naetrocymbe species can be lichenized (Keissler 1938; Knudsen & Lendemer 2009; Roux 2009), Aptroot (1998, 2002), Coppins (2002) and Coppins & Orange (2009) consider unnecessary a separation between Naetrocymbe and Arthopyrenia. They disagree with Harris (1973, 1975, 1995), Tucker & Harris (1980) and Coppins (1988), about the impor- tance of the hamathecial tissues as valuable character. In Aptroot’s opinion, the cosmopol- itan genus Arthopyrenia s.l. should be considered in its original wide concept: character- ized by branched pseudoparaphyses, which may disappear, and sole-shaped ascospores. -

Mycosphere 10(1), 310–489, Doi 10.5943/mycosphere/10/1/7 Abstract Leotiomycetes is regarded as the inoperculate class of discomycetes within the phylum Ascomycota. Taxa are mainly characterized by asci with a simple pore blueing in Melzer’s reagent, although some taxa have lost this character. The monophyly of this class has been verified in several recent molecular studies. However, circumscription of the orders, families and generic level delimitation are still unsettled. This paper provides a modified backbone tree for the class Leotiomycetes based on phylogenetic analysis of combined ITS, LSU, SSU, TEF, and RPB2 loci. In the phylogenetic analysis, Leotiomycetes separates into 19 clades, which can be recognized as orders and order-level clades. -

Lichenes merupakan asosiasi antara jamur dan alga. Lichenes tumbuh di bebatuan, di kulit pohon, di tanah dan di daun sebagai habitatnya. Penelitian Lichenes sudah sering dilakukan namun lokasi yang diteliti berbeda dari peneliti sebelumnya. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui: (1) Jenis-jenis Lichenes, (2) Indeks keanekaragaman Lichenes, (3) Manfaat hasil penelitian keanekaragaman Lichenes dan (4) Respon mahasiswa terhadap output hasil penelitian keanekaragaman Lichenes. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kawasan geothermal Kecamatan Wih Pesam Kabupaten Bener Meriah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Line transek dan Petak kuadrat dengan teknik pengambilan sampel secara purposive sampling. Analisis data dilakukan secara kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Dari hasil penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 3799 individu dari 23 jenis yang termasuk ke dalam 12 famili. Keanekaragaman Lichenes di lokasi penelitian tergolong tinggi, dengan indeks keanekaragaman H’= 3.0045 menurut kriteria Shannon-Wiener. Pemanfaatan hasil penelitian dibuat dalam bentuk buku ajar dan poster sebagai referensi mata kuliah Mikologi. Respon mahasiswa terhadap output hasil penelitian tergolong dalam kategori sangat tinggi dengan nilai persentase 84,70%. These include the uplands of the Clees, Stiperstones and Long Mynd with their associated heath land, forested land such as the Forest of Wyre and the Mortimer Forest, the lowland bogs and meres in the north of the county, and agricultural land scattered with small woodlands and copses. This diversity makes Shropshire unique. The Shropshire Fungus Group has been in existence for 18 years. (Inaugural meeting 6th December 1992. The aim was to produce a fungus flora for the county. This aim has not yet been realised for a number of reasons, chief amongst these are manpower and cost. The group has however collected many records by trawling the archives, contributions from interested individuals/groups, and by field meetings. It is these records that are published here. The first Shropshire checklist was published in 1997. Many more records have now been added and nearly 40,000 of these have now been added to the national British Mycological Society’s database, the Fungus Record Database for Britain and Ireland (FRDBI). During this ten year period molecular biology, i.e. DNA analysis has been applied to fungal classification. -

Voglmayr2 Key words Abstract Fresh material, type studies and molecular phylogeny were used to clarify phylogenetic relationships of the nine genera Acrocordiella, Blogiascospora, Clypeosphaeria, Hymenopleella, Lepteutypa, Pseudapiospora, Ascomycota Requienella, Seiridium and Strickeria. At first sight, some of these genera do not seem to have much in com- Dothideomycetes mon, but all were found to belong to the Xylariales, based on their generic types. Thus, the most peculiar finding new genus is the phylogenetic affinity of the genera Acrocordiella, Requienella and Strickeria, which had been classified in phylogenetic analysis the Dothideomycetes or Eurotiomycetes, to the Xylariales. Acrocordiella and Requienella are closely related but pyrenomycetes distinct genera of the Requienellaceae. Although their ascospores are similar to those of Lepteutypa, phylogenetic Pyrenulales analyses do not reveal a particularly close relationship. The generic type of Lepteutypa, L. fuckelii, belongs to the Sordariomycetes Amphisphaeriaceae. Lepteutypa sambuci is newly described. Hymenopleella is recognised as phylogenetically Xylariales distinct from Lepteutypa, and Hymenopleella hippophaëicola is proposed as new name for its generic type, Spha eria (= Lepteutypa) hippophaës. Clypeosphaeria uniseptata is combined in Lepteutypa. No asexual morphs have been detected in species of Lepteutypa. Pseudomassaria fallax, unrelated to the generic type, P. chondrospora, is transferred to the new genus Basiseptospora, the genus Pseudapiospora is revived for P. corni, and Pseudomas saria carolinensis is combined in Beltraniella (Beltraniaceae).
