Present: Cllrs Barry, Brown, Bunt, Clark, Hillier, Palmer, Ripper, Slater. Absent: Cllr Barrow. In attendance: C Callaway, Officer; 15 members of the public. *Cllr Clark was elected to Chair the meeting, in view of Cllr Barrow’s absence. Cllrs Bunt/Hillier. Unanimous. PL59 Planning Committee meeting minutes: 19th February 2018 RESOLVED that the minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee as above having been previously circulated, be taken as read, approved and signed. PL60 Planning Applications for Consideration RECEIVED a request by the planning authority for consultation and to respond: PA18/01042: Demolition of Polberro House and Cottage and replacement with two, two storey detached houses with garages, new vehicle accesses and ancillary works. G Finn. Polberro House, West Polberro, St Agnes TR5 0SS A letter of objection was noted from the Chair of St Agnes Museum. The Council objected to the application in its current form as follows: Height and massing; Design not in keeping with surrounding area; Contrary to Policy 21 of the Local Plan – existing building has a high historic value; Contrary to Policy 24 of the Local Plan – removal of a building regarded as a heritage asset; Due consideration given to WHS and AONB comments; Suggested the added condition of a Traffic Plan.
