NOTICE of PROPOSAL A612 Bulcote to Lowdham 50Mph SL

The Nottinghamshire County Council (Nottingham Road (A612), Bulcote and Lowdham) (50 M.P.H. Speed Limit) Order 2019 (3295) NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council proposes to make an Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, Traffic Management Act 2004, as amended, and The Civil Enforcement of Parking Contraventions (County of Nottinghamshire) Designation Order 2008 (SI 2008 No. 1086), as amended, the effects of which will be to roads in Bulcote and Lowdham in the District of Newark and Sherwood:- Nottingham Road (A612) in Bulcote and Lowdham in the District of Newark and Sherwood 1. from a point 47 metres north-east of the centre line of the north-eastern junction with Old Main Road, Bulcote in a north-easterly direction to a point 146 metres south-east of its junction with Skithorne Rise, Lowdham. The proposed speed limit is being introduced in response to requests and reflects the recommendations made in the A and B Road Speed Limit Review which produced a recommendation for all the A and B roads in Nottinghamshire. Lowdham – Flood Risk Information and FAQs 1. Which organisation is responsible for my stretch of river? Environment Agency The Environment Agency (EA) carries out maintenance, improvement or construction work on main rivers to manage flood risk. It is also responsible for working in partnership with the Met Office to provide flood forecasts and warnings. The main river map (link below) shows which rivers are designated as ‘main rivers’. In Lowdham, downstream reaches of the Cocker Beck, to the east of the Epperstone Bypass, is main river. Other rivers are called ‘ordinary watercourses’. Lead local flood authorities, district councils and internal drainage boards carry out flood risk management on ordinary watercourses. IDBs undertake works to reduce flood risk to people and property, and manage water levels for agricultural and environmental needs within their district. However, not all areas are covered by an IDB. There are 112 IDBs in England. They play a key role in reducing flood risk to over 600,000 people and nearly 900,000 properties.

I sometimes say, 'I don't think I've spoken to you before....' A couple of times I've received the reply, 'Yes you have!' but usually it is appreciated that I've made the effort! Feeling welcome and that we belong to a group is so important but building new relationships always takes time and effort. Soon we shall be given information about our new overseas Links. I have been asked to submit information about the Diocese to be sent to our links, including a favourite verse from Scripture. I included the verses above because they not only emphasise the importance of Faith in the Family, Timothy's mother and grandmother both helped him in his faith, but they also remind us that the Holy Spirit does not want us to be timid but He gives us power, love and self-control.
