Since the two groups have the same provenance and relate to the same family they have now (2021) been brought together as a single fonds. The original Sotheby and Bodewryd shelfmarks have been retained. An early representative of the family, Gruffudd, married Angharad, daughter of Hwlkin ap Dafydd ap Ifan Wyddel of Bodowyr. The Boderwyd estate descended in the male line until Edward Wynne (d. 1755), Chancellor of Hereford. He married Ann, daughter and heiress of John Lloyd of Plas Einion, Denbighshire, but died without issue and the estate passed to Ann, his younger sister. She married Robert Owen of Penrhos Isa, Holyhead. The estate then passed to their grand-child Margaret Owen (1742-1816), heiress of Penrhos and Bodewryd. She married Sir John Thomas Stanley, Bart., of Alderley Park, Cheshire. Their son, Sir John Thomas Stanley (1760-1850) was created 1st Baron Stanley of Alderley in 1839. He was succeeded by his son Edward John Stanley, 2nd Bart (1807-1869) and by Henry Edward John Stanley, 3rd Bart (1827-1903). Hanes Gwarchodol | Custodial history Alfred Sotheby (d. October 1949) was the grandson of Matilda Abigail Stanley, daughter of John Stanley, 1st Baron Stanley of Alderley. He in turn was the son of Margaret Owen (d. 1816), heiress of Penrhos and Bodewryd.     Anglesey & Gwynedd Joint Local Joint Development Plan 2016-2026 Item:- Deposit Plan Part 2 - Maps Ref ID 1824 - Page 111 - Map 118 - Bryn Du Re - Planning Approval for 12 Affordable Houses granted 2014 although part of the JLDP 2016-2026. ==================================================================== My previous statements on this item remains true and accurate. This comment indicates the degree of serious unsoundness that exists in the existing presented JLDP and the inadequate considerations given to the provision and location of Affordable Housing in Anglesey, and the serious consequences of locating Affordable Housing which do not have the benefit of adequate services and facilities. I stated in my earlier submission that the Anglesey County Council, (ACC), and the JLDP provide guidance on the location of Affordable Housing and state that they should be located in settlements where there are public facilities to support them. Grossly contrary to this guidance Bryn Du is a substantial linear village about 1 km long, and estimated to be of over 100 dwellings, between Llanfaelog Church and Ty Croes Train Station -(which provides a limited, almost virtual service which renders it unfit for purpose). The press statement issued by the Group Cynefin Housing Association and Anglesey County Council Housing Department on 26 May 2015 at the start of construction of the 12 Affordable Houses allocated to Bryn Du indicates how remote these organisations are from their own Council Guidance and the realms of reality:- “Grŵp Cynefin are working in partnership with Anglesey Council’s housing services to develop four small-scale sites in Bryngwran, Bodedern, Holyhead and Llanfaelog. The four developments were announced during a visit to one of the sites, the Bryn Du development in Llanfaelog, which consists of six homes (3 bedroom) and six smaller homes (2 bedroom).

Of these transcripts the earliest known to exist is one in the Library at Brogyntyn. It was probably written within 45 years of the death of the author; but besides that, it contains a great number of notes and additions of nearly the same date, which have never yet appeared in print. Marianne gave a very detailed presentation on how the scheme operates and the benefits it could provide to rural communities. Councillor T. Alcock suggested that a further presentation could be given to the Over 55s Club who meet at St. Michael’s Church, Brynford. Marianne agreed that this would be given consideration. The Chairman thanked Marianne for her attendance. 108/19 STREETSCENE SERVICES – FLINTSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL The Chairman welcomed to the meeting Mr. Neil Hickie Area Supervisor Streetscene Services. Neil provided copies to all members of the Highways Maintenance Schedule and future planned works. Members reported that road surface repairs were required to Brynford Village Road from the Pet Cemetery to the Village Crossroads. Neil advised that work to provide the cattle grid at this location was planned to commence before the end of March.

Court bishops played an important role as royal councillors in matters concerning both church and commonwealth. 1 Royal chaplaincies were sought after, both as important steps on the road of prefer- ment and as positions from which to influence religious policy.2 Printed court sermons were a prominent literary genre, providing not least an important forum for debate about the nature and character of the English Reformation.
