OLYMPIC GAMES ATHENS 2004 New G. Karaiskaki , Football Stadium, Piraeus-Greece

Construction of a new football stadium of reinforced concrete and steel structure with a seating capacity of 33.300 spectators in two tiers in a 75,248m² area. The pitch is 74mx105m while overall dimensions are 200 mx160 m, with a total built up area (excluding the pitch) of 37,425.54 m² Included in the scope are also office areas, restaurants and bars, VIP suites, press center, shops and a 1,500 place car park.

Design and build of the main Stadium. Construction of a complex with a total built area of 24.453m² that consists of: a) A multipurpose hall developed in 4 levels with a seating capacity of 5.000 spectators b) A guest house with 15 one-bedroom guestrooms, 22 two-bedroom guestrooms, suites c) A training football field. The Complex was used as venue for the ‘’Weightlifting’’ competitions in the Olympic Games of 2004 and in the post-olympic era is to be used as part of the Piraeus University.

Ano Liossia Wrestling & Judo Olympic Hall, Athens, Greece

Construction of an indoor sports hall used as a venue for Wrestling and Judo competitions in the Olympic Games of 2004 with a seating capacity of 7.778 spectators. The bearing structure is of reinforced concrete with metal truss roof supported on four pylons. It has four levels. All ancillary facilities such as M&E facilities, storages, tanks etc. are in the 1st level, while all basic areas of the sport hall are located in the rest three levels. Total built area 35.000m²

The ‘’Golden Hall’’ is located on Kifissias Ave., Athens, and it expands in three levels, hosting 132 shops in 41.000sq.m above ground. In the 60.000sq.m of the underground space there are 1400 parking spaces available in two levels for its visitors. The scope of works consisted in conversing existing building, used as broadcasting Centre for Athens Olympic 2004 into a Shopping Mall.

The project , includes an information centre, technical support for teaching and a language centre. It is being built north east of the Aglandjia in the University Campus of Cyprus and the total built area is 15,000 square m2

It was designed by the internationally acclaimed French architect Jean Ateliers Nouvel.

The centre consists of five levels (basement, ground floor, 1st,2nd 3rd floor ) It will be in the form of an artificial hill with a white dome, providing library services, 900 study stations, as well as multimedia and group study areas.

It will hold 620,000 volumes of books and 80,000 journals, millions of articles and over 400,000 books in electronic form, over 10,000 titles of

audiovisual material, and will cover all scientific research, study and teaching subjects

renovated.

The basement will include staff accommodation, sanitary area/gym area, parking and storage facilities, whereas the ground and first floor will include the main household areas.

Outdoor areas include a guard room, a kiosk, a swimming pool with pergolas and gardens.

The Project’s is located in an approximate 5.000 m2 site in Nicosia.
