    Bert Tyler Moore Writer Bert's stage play THE WINDSORS: ENDGAME will open at Prince of Wales Theatre this summer. The show is produced by Runaway Entertainment and stars Harry Enfield. Bert is currently writing and is a Consulting Producer on the second season of Britbox’s reboot of the iconic satirical show SPITTING IMAGE, produced by Avalon, after having worked on the first season. He is developing original projects with Various Artists Ltd, Working Title TV, Genial Productions and Noho Film & Television. For many years Bert was in a writing partnership with the late George Jeffrie, who sadly passed away in September 2020. Together, they created and wrote three long running series: THE WINDSORS, which was BAFTA nominated and returned in spring 2020 for its third series; cult hit PETE VERSUS LIFE starring Rafe Spall; and STAR STORIES which won a British Comedy Award and was twice BAFTA nominated. Bert and George began writing on the classic sketch shows BIG TRAIN and ARMSTRONG AND MILLER and have written sketches for countless others including SMACK THE PONY, HARRY AND PAUL, THAT MITCHELL AND WEBB LOOK and MONKEY DUST. The highlight though was surely creating the character of ‘Lord Hollywood’ for George Clooney on ITV’s charity DOWNTON ABBEY spoof. (They were not allowed on set). This year’s ceremony will be held at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday 14 May, three weeks after the British Academy Television Craft Awards on 23 April and one week after BAFTA’s Guru Live festival. Historical drama The Crown receives five nominations: Leading Actress for Claire Foy for her portrayal of Queen Elizabeth II; Supporting Actor for Jared Harris and John Lithgow; and Supporting Actress for Vanessa Kirby. Harris, Lithgow and Kirby are all first-time nominees; the programme is also nominated in Drama Series. The Leading and Supporting performance categories are dominated this year by first- time BAFTA nominees, who also include Jodie Comer (for Thirteen) and Nikki Amuka- Bird (for NW) competing in Leading Actress, and Daniel Mays (for Line of Duty) in Supporting Actor. NW receives a second nomination in Single Drama. One-off drama Damilola, Our Loved Boy receives three nominations, in Single Drama, Leading Actor (for Babou Ceesay) and Supporting Actress (for Wunmi Mosaku). Happy Valley receives nominations in Drama Series, Leading Actress (for Sarah Lancashire) and Supporting Actress (for Siobhan Finneran).
