On January 31, 2011, MedSun notifi ed MGH that it was being recognized for Outstanding Contribu tion in Promoting Patient Safety because, based on feed- back triggered by Gray’s safety report, the vendor iden- tifi ed ways to improve the manufacturing process. Certifi cates of appreciation were presented to Gray and Stengrevics in recognition of the important role they played in correcting this safety issue. Never underestimate the importance of fi ling a safety report. Improvement depends on staff recogniz- ing safety issues and bringing them to the attention of the Center for Quality & Safety so they can be investi- gated. For more information, call 6-9282.
