By Lyndsey Erin Shelton Under the mentorship of Dr. Darin H. Van Tassell ABSTRACT It is a widely accepted notion that a child can only be called stupid for so long before they believe it, can only be treated in a particular way for so long before that is the only way that they know. Why is that notion never applied to how we treat, address, and present religion and the religious to children and young adults? In recent years, questions have been continuously brought up about how we portray violence, sexuality, gender, race, and many other issues in popular media directed towards young people, particularly video games.

  • Oregon Wolf Conservation and Management Plan (Draft)
Attachment 2 OREGON WOLF CONSERVATION AND MANAGEMENT PLAN (DRAFT) OREGON DEPARTMENT OF FISH AND WILDLIFE DRAFT, APRIL 2017 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY (March 2017) The Oregon Wolf Conservation and Management Plan (Plan) was first adopted in 2005 and updated in 2010. This update, which began in March 2016, is the result of a yearlong evaluation of the Plan. Some of the proposed changes contained within this initial draft are general updates and reorganization of content. Other changes are more substantive in nature, and include management improvements based on information gained over years of wolf management in Oregon. This Draft Plan may undergo additional changes and reorganization as it goes through the public involvement process. In general, changes made in this initial draft of the Plan include: 1) updates to base information (i.e., status, population, distribution, etc.), 2) new science related to the biology and management of wolves, and 3) management improvements based on information gained through years of wolf management in Oregon. Chapter II (Wolf Conservation) includes detailed information on the three phases of wolf management and discusses the state’s two wolf management zones. Chapter III (Wolf-Livestock Conflicts) includes information on the use of non-lethal deterrents, the use of controlled take in certain situations, and expands livestock producer options for investigating potential wolf depredations of livestock. Readers should note that while some sections of earlier versions of this plan are condensed or combined, earlier versions of this Plan will continue to be made available on the ODFW wolf website at http://www.dfw.state.or.us/Wolves/index.asp.

LEGION OF SUPER-HEROES ISSUE #48 Enemy Manifest Part 3 “The Edge of Doom” Script for 21 pages by Jim Shooter Michael Marts Editor DC COMICS April 27, 2008 PAGE ONE: Panel 1 (FULL PAGE SPLASH): Scene: A beautiful PLAZA in the UNITED PLANETS GOVERNMENT COMPLEX in the heart of Metropolis. Specifically, this Plaza should be outside the magnificent DEPARTMENT OF DIPLOMACY Building, which, by the way, is where Princess Projectra met with Sydne Ardeen and Nimra LaFong in issue #37. Secretary of Diplomacy NIMRA C. LaFONG stands at the head of a large WELCOMING COMMITTEE composed of DIPLOMATS from various U.P. worlds. Remember, the beings on most worlds are absolutely human. A few of the Diplomats should be humanoid, fewer still humanoid-alien and only one or two totally alien. Try to make at least some of the Diplomats look like they’re from worlds we have already established—for instance, there should be a blue-skinned, elf-eared Diplomat from Talok VIII. All the Diplomats should be dressed very formally, in keeping with their own worlds’ customs. Again, for instance, the Talok VIII Diplomat should be wearing the kind of slightly Medieval-looking clothes that Kitson established in issue #23 (and you continued in #40, though you didn’t get to draw any fancy-dressed folks). This is a very formal, important State Occasion. It should appear to be very proper, dignified, organized and impressive. If any Science Police or U.P. Military are seen, they would be in full dress uniforms. No guns! Or if so, only ceremonial side arms that remain in their holsters.
