While I do love this run, it is missing real fast its direction and its sense of awe. It maintains its formula rotating its subplots and bringing them up front in search for a resolution; but the formula is lacking a punch. Some of these plots are solved in a way as if wanting to get rid of them and moving into the next thing in a hurry, without giving it enough attention or interest. The Vi situation seems to repeat itself over and over again. Something that is meant to be epic turns into somethi While I do love this run, it is missing real fast its direction and its sense of awe. Something that is meant to be epic turns into something too simple, with a disappointing implosion all around. Aug 24, Thelaurakremer rated it it was ok. Let me narrate my Legion of Super-Heroes the More Things Change while I do something. Laurel Gand's costume, worse than Emma Frost. Apr 03, Michael rated it really liked it Shelves: loeg-archives. Ahh, Legion, you were once great. The best thing about this book Legion of Super- Heroes the More Things Change how Paul's always trying to move it forward, a new UP President hinting at the Universo storyline that wouldn't come to fruition for another year and a halfthe resignation of all three founding members, Violet's coming out of her shell, and some really good adventure stories - the Sun-Eaters in limbo, Timber Wolf fulfilling Karate Kid's last will and testament, and more subplots and intrigue than you can shake a stick at. I r Ahh, Legion, you were once great. I remember loving Lightle's art when I bought these back issues, and seeing it again now, it's solid, but there are some really obvious anatomy mistakes and storytelling flaws. Still solid, but not great by any stretch. Oct 13, Justin rated it really liked it. This volume has Levitz and Lightle keeping the Legion train rolling. This volume ends with 13 and 14 was the first issue of the Baxter series I was able to pick up, having discovered a comics shop near me Friendly Frank's in Hobart, IN. That issue sees the Legion picking up new members, the seeds of which are sown in this volume. I'm also reading an old issue of Back Issue magazine 68, from 7 years ago that details this era of the Legion - a perfect pairing. Mar 04, Bob rated it really liked it Shelves: legion-comics. Nov 19, Shannon Appelcline rated it really liked it Shelves: comicscomics-dc. There are no big stories here, but nonetheless this shows off the Levitz Legion at its best, with a huge cast, multiple storylines, and a galaxy constantly in motion.

SATURN GIRL, ULTRA BOY, ATOM GIRL, COLOSSAL BOY CHAMELEON and STAR BOY had been accosted by a large squadron of SCIENCE POLICE in several HOVERCRAFT (Hovercraft established last issue and in issue #38, I believe), intent upon arresting Ultra Boy. Here, Star Boy is sending all the hovercraft crashing to the ground by making them super heavy. Star Boy’s hands are down, palms down, as if gesturing “sit,” or “down.” His hands are glowing with his gravity-increasing power effect. The other Legionnaires react, surprised and awed by Star Boy’s rash move, and Saturn Girl is especially taken aback. This shot needs a fair amount of scope to succeed.
