Closure in Moscow set fire to the international alternative scene in 2010 with huge triple j rotation of Sweet#hart, electrifying sets at Warped Tour, SXSW, Homebake, Pyramid Rock and a slew of US tours and festivals.
Having relocated from Australia to the USA in 2011 where they played hundreds of shows and supported the likes of Coheed and Cambria, My Chemical Romance, Saosin, Silverstein and many more, debut album “First Temple” followed the success of their EP, delivering inventive, focused energy, and sonics that translated to an audience hungry for bold, experimental tunes that they could still sing, dance and party along to.
In 2014 the band have released the incredible new album titled ‘Pink Lemonade’. ‘Pink Lemonade’ was designed to be a voyage that is greater than the sum of it’s parts. It is the tale of a hapless fool’s descent down the rabbit hole and through the Chapel Perilous... Smashing through the 4th wall with a novelty hulk fist, it is a fable laced with subversive sludge that will seep into your minds eye and stir your soul like a rich pumpkin soup.
‘Pink Lemonade’ has been released to amazing critical acclaim and was produced by Tom Larkin and Closure In Moscow in various dens of aural inequity around Melbourne, mixed by Andrei Eremin and mastered by Howie Weinberg.
Having recently toured the UK, Europe and Australia to sold out shows, Closure in Moscow power through a set filled with radio tracks, face-melting musicianship and huge sing-a-longs. Armed with an AIR chart album debut of #3 and CMJ radio chart debut of #81, CIM are looking forward to continuing touring the globe to spread the ‘Pink Lemonade’.
