Hauntingly, his words speak as a message to all of us on how to live our lives. They certainly ref lect how he lived his. Peace, Mr. Guyton. God bless you. Good Evening Ladies & Gentlemen, Tonight we celebrate the life of Charles Schulz--illustrator, writer, and creator of the Peanuts characters. What we are presenting on stage is an average day in the life of Charlie Brown. These vignettes range from baseball season, Charlie Brown missing the bus, Valentine’s Day, and a series of other typical events in the land of the Peanuts characters. It is our hope that you will f ind yourself thinking back over your lif e, and reminiscing on your childhood. Maybe thinking about old friends, school ass ignments you had trouble with, friends who think they know it all, challenges you’ve had to deal with, etc. Take those thoughts and memories and then reflect on the ‘now’ moments in life. Hopefully the good outweighs the bad and from there, you can settle on happiness, and being happy with your life. Happiness: What is it to you? A feeling of satisfaction or fulfillment, when your lif e f ulf ills your needs, when you are content and are living in the now—reflecting on the good things you have been blessed to have. Or maybe happiness is what you have given to others: a smile in passing, a simple ‘thank you’ or ‘I love you.’ Often times we forget that happiness is a choice. Sometimes we get caught up on the negative hiccups in life and forget about the positives. Like Charlie Brown, and the rest of the gang, let’s choose to be happy: foster forgiveness, smile, counteract the negative, remember money can’t buy happiness, bless someone else; and remember “happiness is anyone or anything at all that’s loved by you.” A special thank you to the BCHS administration and the Senior theatre students for helping make my first year teaching at Chatard a ‘happy’ one! Theatrically Yours, Mr. Kyle J. Guyton, A rtistic Director Copyright © 2016 Playbill Online Inc. He takes an early lead in the polls but suffers a set back when he mentions the Great Pumpkin. Will he blow his chances with voters? This special features the first time Snoopy makes an appearance as his “Joe Cool” alter ego. (originally aired October 29, 1972 ● 30 minutes) 10:45 am • Snoopy’s Reunion Snoopy is homesick for his puppy days at the Daisy Hill Puppy Farm, so he and Charlie Brown organize a reunion of his siblings: Spike, Andy, Olaf, Marbles, Belle, Molly, and Rover. When they arrive, Charlie Brown is sad to see that the Puppy Farm has been replaced with a parking garage, but as Snoopy and his family begin to play their instruments, they are happy to be together again just like the old days. (originally aired May 1, 1991 ● 30 minutes) 11:15 am • It’s a Mystery, Charlie Brown Woodstock’s fancy new nest disappears and Snoopy, donning a Sherlock Holmes outfit, sets out to find it. The suspects are Charlie Brown, then Lucy and Linus, and finally Peppermint Patty,. Back at Woodstock’s tree, Snoopy spots footprints leading from the tree to the elementary school. Through an open window, Snoopy and Woodstock climb into the school and find Woodstock’s nest under a glass display case. Woodstock is overjoyed and grateful to find his home but the mystery is not solved.
