Bridal Sweet FAQs How can we sweeten your day I would like to set up a cake tasting and design session. How do I do that? Appointments can be made by emailing our wedding sales consultant at [email protected] or by calling 224-788-9558. How soon do I need to order my wedding cake? We prefer to hold the appointment about 2-3 months before the event so the cake order is fresh on our minds when we make it, but we recommend you book your appointment as soon as possible. Appointments fill up the fastest on Saturdays, especially during the months of May through September. Orders must be placed and finalized no later than 2 weeks before your event. When and where are appointments held? Appointments are held 9am to 4pm Tuesday through Saturday at our Antioch location: 455 Lake St. Antioch, IL 60002. Do I need an appointment or can I just email you what I want? We strongly recommend that you come in for a face-to-face consultation to cover all the questions that we will have for you while designing your cake, and to also give you the opportunity to sample different flavors of cake and filling. We understand that there are circumstances where this may not be possible, so we can do a live video chat in lieu of a live in person appointment. I live far away from Lovin Oven Cakery in Antioch. Do you offer cake tasting appointments anywhere closer to me? At this time, we only offer appointments in our Antioch location.

  • Engineering a Successful Home Cakery & Food Truck with Patricia Bedford
Engineering A Successful Home Cakery & Food Truck with Patricia Bedford David Crabill: Welcome to the Forrager podcast, where I talk with cottage food businesses about their strategies for running a food business from home. I'm David Crabill, and today I'm talking with Patricia Bedford. Patricia lives in Pflugerville, Texas, and mainly sells cupcakes and cakes with her cottage food business, Suga's Cakery. Patricia actually has an engineering degree and worked as an engineer for 10 years before she completely changed course and started her home bakery. She has gained quite a following over the past five years and she is now in the process of building a food truck to expand her business to meet customer demand. And with that, welcome to the show, Patricia. Nice to have you here. Patricia Bedford: [00:00:43] Thank you so much. Nice to be here, David. David Crabill: [00:00:46] So Patricia, can you take us back to the beginning when you got started with this business. How did you get into this? Patricia Bedford: [00:00:54] Okay. So, um, it really didn't start off as a business initially. My grandma passed away. Her name was Suga. You know, her actual, her, her birth name was Josephine but we called her Suga. And so, Yeah, I just started baking as a way to bring the family together because she would bake and cook for the family. She was the hub of the family. So I wanted to kind of take over that role for her. And so I started baking for birthdays and holidays and things like that.

INSPIRATIONSPRODUCT ake cupcakes for friends, parties or just for fun! Just tie on your apron and take a peek at these scrumptious, easy-to-bake ideas. cup cakery bakery {CREATIVE INSPIRATIONS free FROM HOBBY LOBBY®} Tall Order Tall, chic and yummy? Oh, yes! Go for king-sized wrappers and jumbo muffin pans for this gourmet-style goodie. The super-sized cupcakes are impressive on their own, so stick to minimal embellishments like swirls of whipped cream icing and simple ribbon. We predict this look is gonna be big! Just Scrumptious If you want a look that’s good enough to eat, use a star tip to create fluffy textured swirls like the ones on our giant cupcakes. Simply pipe in concentric circles until you’ve spiraled to the desired height. 2 Hobby Lobby Product Inspirations Need buttercream that’s a perfect baby blue? Skip liquid food coloring, which can water down your icing. Instead, look to concentrated pastes and soft gel pastes. Add concentrated pastes to your icing with a toothpick. Dip the tip into the color and swirl it in—and be warned, a little goes a very long way. Add gel paste one little drop at a time. « Quack That You need baby shower treats with cutie-pie style. Mini muffin pans and petite cupcake liners set the stage for this splish-splash motif. We turned buttercream into water droplets with a round decorating tip, added pearls for bubbles, and topped it all off with a quacky duck made with a cookie cutter and fondant. » For thisCake yummy project Kabobs (featured on the cover), bake a batch of mini cupcakes and slide them onto bamboo skewers.
