Study of Water Quality Parameters of Ground Water in Sirohi District (Rajasthan) Govind Singh Chauhan Assistant Professor, Department of Civil Engineering Madhav University, Pindwara (Rajasthan) e-mail: [email protected] Abstract Water is the essential natural resource for life. Ground water plays a major role in satisfying the need of life. Sirohi district where marble and cement industries are dominating industry, there is a need of the study of Physico-chemical parameters of various ground water bodies belonging to this district as ground water is the major source of supplying drinking water by the municipality. The present study will help in improving drinking water quality. Water quality parameters of ground water of Sirohi district has been investigated in two seasons of the year. Fluoride, Chloride, TDS, Nitrate, pH, Hardness and Alkalinity parameters of ten villages in monsoon and summer seasons were recorded and compared. Parameters were studied following Tritimetric, Titration and Colorimetric methods. Villages having high level of fluoride, TDS, Hardness etc have been identified and values compared with the standard values, prescribed by NEERI, WHO and APHA. Fluoride is the key aspect of water quality in water supply system. A big change in all water quality parameters was observed before and after the monsoon seasons. Keywords: Tritimetric, Titration, Colorimetric Introduction quality in water supply system. Fluoride has shown to cause a significant effect on human health. Water is the essential natural resource for life. Ground water plays a major role in satisfying the Study Area need of life. With the urbanization, industrialization and increasing population, the Rajasthan is situated at the west side of India and demand of water resources is increasing. -

Phytochemistry and pharmacology of Tecomella undulata TICLE R Ruby Rohilla, Munish Garg1 Departments of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Hindu College of Pharmacy, Sonepat, 1Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak, Haryana, India A Tecomella undulata (Bignoniaceae) is a monotypic genus and one of the most important deciduous, ornamental shrub or small tree of the acrid zone of India. Locally known as Rohida, Roheda in Hindi, Rakhtroda in Marathi, Dadimacchada, Chalachhada, Dadimapuspaka in Sanskrit mostly found in the Thar desert regions of India and Pakistan. The plant holds tremendous potential of EVIEW medicinal value and is used in traditional and folklore system of medicines. It has been used traditionally in various ailments like syphilis, swelling, leucorrhoea and leucoderma, enlargement of spleen, obesity, tumours, blood disorders, flatulence and abdominal R pain. Tecomella undulata has gained prominence due to presence of some prominent secondary metabolites of great therapeutic potential like stigmasterol, β-sitosterol, α-lapachone, tectol isolated from heartwood, bark and leaf. The present review presents the traditional information and recent scientific update on this plant with therapeutic potential. 1 NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF AYURVEDA VACANCY NOTIFICATION NO. 1/2020 SCREENING TEST ON 8-8-2021 (SUNDAY) FROM 9 AM TO 10-30 AM FOR THE POSTS OF MULTI TASKING STAFF (M T S) A Screening Test to shortlist Candidates for Selection to the Post of MTS will be held on SUNDAY 8-8-2021 from 9-00 AM to 10-30 AM in the following Centres. Call Letters have been sent to the Candidates by Speed Post. The List of Candidates Called for Screening Test is given in the following Pages. The List of Applicatons rejected along with the reasons thereof, have also been posted on the Website. Candidates should report for the Screening Test at 8-00 AM at the alloted Centres and should bring the Call Letter and also Proof of Identity like Aadhar Card, Voter ID Card, Driving Licence etc. without which they will not be permitted to appear in the Test. It may be noted that conduct of the Screening Tests will be subject to any Order/Guideline on Covid-19 that may be imposed by State and/or Central Government.
