DESCRIPTION

Born in the former Yugoslavia, Predrag completed his BFA in Electronic Engineering and Computer Programming at the Belgrade University in 1987 before turning his interest towards art.

In 1987 Predrag studied Fine Art and History of Art in Italy before being accepted in 1992 to the Central St. Martin's College of Art and Design, , to pursue his BA in Fashion Design. Since graduation in 1994 and the Courtauld Institute of Art, London (MA History of Art), Predrag has lectured at the Royal College of Art, London and at the Blake College, London, and has recently set up his own clothes label "Sebastian". He has exhibited widely throughout the UK, and in 1998 held a solo show at the M 6k C Saatchi Gallery in London. Predrag`s works form part of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, The , and The Victoria and Albert Museum, London and the Musee de la Mode, Paris, collections. His work has been reviewed by major publications, including Art & Design, Harpers & Queen, Vogue, The Guardian and many more.

His work and output is interdisciplinary as he works across a number of media including video, photography, drawing, sound and installation.

He works both as an artist and a curator, with his work being shown internationally in both solo and group exhibitions; in 2004 alone, these included: 'Delay' at Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Rotterdam; 'To whom it may Concern' at the Foundation for Contemporary Art, Rotterdam; 'The Presidency' at Exit Art, New York; 'Memory', Salina Art Center, Salina; 'Garden' Castle Vault, Southampton; 'Terrorvision', Exit Art, New York and 'Blackout', Salon of the Museum of Contemporary Art, Belgrade in 2003.

Recent curatorial works include: Paranoia, an acclaimed touring exhibition with 42 international artists, Freud Museum, London, 2006/07; This Day consisting of nine screening programmes and live performances with short film and videos relating to the Middle East, Tate Modern, London, 2007; Undo, group exhibition about conflict, tension and bereavement with international artists, Dazed Gallery, London, 2007; Recognise, a group exhibition with international artists examining misunderstandings and preconceptions about the Middle East, Contemporary Art Platform, London, 2007; Crimes & Splendours, a group exhibition, Ron Mandos Gallery, Amsterdam, 2007.

He has also appeared as a judge at the prestigious South African contemporary art award Spier Contemporary 2007 and was a guest curator with five solo projects for Nova Paranoia, Artneuland, Berlin, 2008.
