Applications may be inspected free of charge at the Office of the Traffic Commissioner in Leeds by any person who carries written authorisation to act in that capacity. Objections against published applications may be made in writing by a Chief Officer of Police, a local authority, a planning authority or a prescribed trade union or association within 21 days of the date on which notice of an application is published in Applications and Decisions. Objections must be made either on the grounds that any of the requirements listed in Section 13 of the Goods Vehicles (Licensing of Operators) Act 1995 are not met and/or that a nominated operating centre will be unsuitable for use as such. A copy of the objection must be sent by the objector to the applicant at the same time that it is sent to the Traffic Commissioner. The onus of proof in terms of the grounds on which an objection is lodged lies with the objector. You may fax a copy of your objection to 0113 2488521 but please note that you must send the original signed document through the post. Classification of Operator Licences – There are three classes of licence: A Restricted (R) licence authorises the use of a goods vehicle on public roads in Great Britain for the carriage of the licence holder’s own goods in the course of his trade or business. The licence holder cannot carry goods for other people for hire or reward; A Standard National (SN) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward, on public roads in Great Britain. He can also carry his own goods on journeys abroad; A Standard International (SI) licence allows the licence holder to carry both his own goods and goods for other people for hire or reward. These activities can be undertaken both in Great Britain and on international journeys.     Banged Up Abroad 1 Research and Notes The information and specifically the tables within this document are a key part of my research into my Banged up Aboard project in which I am seeking to capture as a series of documentary and indexed images the site of the former World War Two (WWII) Prisoner of War (PoW) sites in England, Scotland and Wales1. In complying this data it has become evident that the Camp numbers for whatever reason have been duplicated and a camp may have had more than one number as such it is acknowledged that discrepancies exist within not just my table but also with the source information. This may have in some cases camps being moved from one location to another, a camp being divided and given two number such as one for German one for Italian, or one number for Officers and a different number for other ranks. Also many “Subcamps exist for which I have in the most part been unable to obtain the Camp, in cases like this they have been given a nominal number of 00. The intent is to capture the sites as they are now although as part of the research, I will also be accumulating images and data as to the sites when they were in use during and slightly after the end of WWII. It is intended that the images captured as part of this project will form a historic data source for other to come.     East Riding of Yorkshire Important Landscape Areas Boundary Refinement Scope of Work Golder Associates (UK) Ltd (Golder) was commissioned by East Riding of Yorkshire Council (ERYC) in July 2013 to review and map the definitive boundaries of the ‘Important Landscape Areas’ (ILAs) as defined by Policy ENV2 of the draft Local Plan 2013-2029. (Policy ENV 2 is included in Appendix A of this report). There are six ILAs within the Draft Local Plan area: The Yorkshire Wolds; Heritage Coast at Flamborough; Heritage Coast Spurn; River Derwent Corridor; Lower Derwent Valley and Pocklington Canal; and Thorne, Crowle and Goole Moors. The ILAs are based on the East Riding of Yorkshire Landscape Character Assessment, 2005 and their boundaries generally coincide with the high quality Landscape Character Areas identified at the time. (The key attributes of the ILA based on the corresponding LCA are listed in Appendix B) The objective of this commission was to redefine and rationalise the boundaries of the ILAs (currently plotted at 120,000 scale) to align them where possible to geographical features such as roads, rivers and field boundaries, taking into account the key characteristics of each LCA and the objectives of the designation. The work will support the landscape evidence for the emerging East Riding Local Plan.
