GAvailable in 295/80R22.5 and 315/70R22.5, the Giti GAM837 all- position sizes have been specially selected for the growing number of on/off road OE bulk haulage delivery vehicles which later need aftermarket replacements.

Fully licenced and insured, Caledonia Recycling will ensure your waste tyres are responsibly handled and environmentally recycled, and will mean you are operating within the law. Stephanie Johnstone, Manager for Caledonia Recycling Ltd commented: “Because we are now quite established, we have a great rapport with an increasing number of companies in the industry who trust us, including the Stratstone Group and Eastern Western. Everything we do is to suit the individual customers’ needs and will do our very best to accommodate collections for any number of tyres. “We charge a very reasonable starting price of £1.20 plus VAT for collection and disposal per tyre within 30-mile radius of our premises, and an additional surcharge per tyre for collections out with this zone, customers can also bring tyres to our site for disposal. This very low cost can be recovered by charging your customers the small fee on their invoice. It is effectively an environmental levy; we have a lot of customers who charge their own customer £1.50 to dispose of each tyre on their behalf. “A lot of garages believe it is very expensive to get rid of tyres, but for the sake of around a fiver, it will likely cost you more in petrol or diesel to get rid of them yourself. Those who charge for it know they need rid of them, as well as the penalties for not doing so properly.”

"The new layout and clear structure of our pattern programme went down very well with our customers last year," said Christoph Priewasser, Product Manager at KRAIBURG Austria. "Our new naming system established a foothold from day one as well. We are doing all we can to supply naturally high-quality retreading materials again this year and to provide the optimum basis for business operations."

Further information and the current pattern programme are available to download at: www.kraiburg-austria.com.

Dave Squires, Workshop Foreman at JM Gorry & Son, explains: “The Remix tyres just ran and ran. We looked at how long they lasted and considered how much more we could save by fitting Michelin from new. While the up-front cost is admittedly higher than other premium brands, our calculations showed that if we used all the Michelin tyres’ multiple lives, we’ll reduce vehicle operating costs in the long term.” The company provides traction services with its fleet of 44 Volvo FH trucks, hauling cargo for a number of major blue- chip companies. Its tyre requirements are handled by nearby Michelin Certified Centre TRS Tyres, which first recommended JM Gorry & Son trial Michelin Remix to take better control of its tyre budget. Another key factor in the decision to switch is Michelin’s accidental tyre damage guarantee, which Squires describes as “absolute proof that Michelin stands by its products”. Under the scheme, Michelin promises to refund operators for any accidental damage suffered before a new tyre is 50 RUNS per cent worn, provided it has been registered on Michelin’s MyAccount web portal within one month of purchase. Squires adds: “Our trucks work in and around ports and GRIPS industrial sites, and there’s always the hazard of loose debris causing a puncture. The guarantee is an invaluable safety net

ALL SEASON TYRES Michelin...... CrossClimate Available in 4X4 and SUV ichelin’s ground-breaking CrossClimate tyre is now available to a wide range of SUVs and 4x4s. MThe Michelin CrossClimate was the world’s first summer tyre to achieve the 3PMSF winter accreditation, and it has won a string of awards since its launch. Now the CrossClimate SUV makes the tyre’s all-weather, all-year-round capabilities available to even more drivers. The CrossClimate offers the benefits of a summer tyre for dry or wet braking, total mileage and energy efficiency, while also boasting the traction and braking performance of a winter tyre on cold and snow-covered roads – making it perfect for the UK’s often unpredictable weather. After being evaluated by three independent European testing organisations – TÜV SÜD, Dekra Test Centre and UTAC CERAM – the CrossClimate tyre obtained Three Peak Mountain Snow Flake (3PMSF) approval, meaning it can be used in countries that require special winter equipment at clearly defined times of the year. With a V-shaped tread and self-blocking 3D sipes, the tyre is designed to optimise traction in snow. Described as a “claw” effect, the vertical and lateral waves of the sipes give the tread blocks greater rigidity, while also benefiting longevity, steering precision and general dry road performance due to its ability to resist heat build-up. The CrossClimate has been well received by fleets which need to reach their destination whatever the weather. British Gas, for example, is fitting the CrossClimate to all 13,000 of its vans.
