NEXT STOP NEWS September 2015 INSIDE: September 2015 Service Changes Ride RT to Folsom LIVE Rancho CordoVan Public Hearing Extended Light Rail Service for Folsom LIVE Folsom LIVE returns for 2015 on Saturday, September 26. This year’s venue will feature dozens of bands on five indoor and outdoor stages. The festivities will kick off at 5 p.m. RT will extend Gold Line light rail service to Folsom until midnight. Folsom LIVE attendees can ride free with a valid pre-purchased admission ticket. Service on the Gold Line will continue to Folsom beyond the last regularly scheduled departure from the Sunrise Station at 7:05 p.m. Trains to Folsom will continue from the Sunrise Station at 7:35 p.m., 8:05 p.m., 8:35 p.m., 9:05 p.m., 9:35 p.m., 10:05 p.m., 10:35 p.m., 11:05 p.m. and 11:35 p.m. Trains will arrive at the Historic Folsom Station 13 minutes after departure from the Sunrise Station. Service on the Gold Line will continue from Folsom beyond the last regularly scheduled departure from the Historic Folsom Station at 7 p.m. Trains to Sunrise/Downtown Sacramento will depart from the Historic Folsom Station at 7:30 p.m., 8 p.m., 8:30 p.m., 9 p.m., 9:30 p.m., 10 p.m., 10:30 p.m., 11 p.m., 11:30 p.m. and midnight. Trains will arrive at the Sunrise Station 13 minutes after departure from the Historic Folsom Station. Trips departing the Historic Folsom Station at 9:30 p.m. or earlier will serve the Sacramento Valley Station. Trips departing the Historic Folsom Station at 10 p.m. and later will end at the St. Rose of Lima Park (9th & K) Station. The last train departing from the Historic Folsom Station at midnight will arrive at the St. Rose of Lima Park (9th & K) Station at 12:55 a.m. For more information, visit folsomlive.com. Proposed Rancho CordoVan Service Changes RT is seeking public comment on proposed service changes to the Rancho CordoVan (Route 176 – Anatolia). New trip times and expanded service are proposed for the Sunridge Park and Kavala Ranch communities. This new service would be funded by the City of Rancho Cordova. The proposed changes and a draft Title VI Equity Analysis are available for review at sacrt.com. Blue Line to CRC – Now Open The new Blue Line to Cosumnes River College (CRC) light rail extension connects commuters to jobs, students to schools, bicyclists to bike trails, and everywhere in between. With three new light rail stations serving south Sacramento, it’s easy to skip the heavy traffic on Highway 99 and get to downtown Sacramento in approximately 30 minutes. Light rail trains begin operating at 4 a.m. with service every 15 minutes during the day, and every 30 minutes in the evening and on weekends. Three New Light Rail Stations Franklin Station – 4625 Cosumnes River Boulevard • 668-space park-pay-and-ride lot ($1 per day parking fee or $15 RT monthly parking pass) • Pedestrian bridge connecting to the southern end of Deer Lake Drive • Served by RT Route 65 Center Parkway Station – 6349 Cosumnes River Boulevard • Walk-on station with a drop-off area • Pedestrian bridge connecting to the southern end of Valley Green Drive • Served by RT Route 54 Cosumnes River College Station – 8370 Bruceville Road • Four-story parking garage with 2,016 park- pay-and-ride spaces, as well as parking spaces throughout the Cosumnes River College campus ($2 per day parking fee or $15 RT monthly parking pass) • Pedestrian bridge connecting to the parking garage • Served by RT Routes 54, 55 and 56; e-tran (Elk Grove); and SCT/LINK (Galt) Rider Alert September 2015 Service Changes Effective Sunday, September 6, 2015, RT will implement service changes that will restructure bus routes, and adjust bus schedules that connect with light rail (Blue Line and Gold Line) associated with the opening of the new Blue Line to Cosumnes River College (CRC) light rail extension.
