    Pidley-cum-Fenton Community Plan The plan's aim is to make the village a safer and more pleasant place for us to live and work and to strengthen the sense of community by making it more caring, communicative, supportive and welcoming to all. This can be achieved by ensuring that the parishioners are represented in the preparation of the plan and agree the plan before it is given to the Parish Council. 1 INTRODUCTION. Following the Village Questionnaire Meeting of 14th October 2015, the Parish Council at its meeting on 11 November 2015 delegated the task of creating the village plan to a Working Group of volunteers from different parts of Pidley and Fenton. This group was to be independent of the Parish Council and was to use the replies to the questionnaire as the source of the requirements of the parishioners. These requirements would be analysed, prioritised and a draft plan formulated bearing in mind the finances and resources available. Short, medium and long term goals could equate to requirements being achieved within one year, three years or five years. For each goal the plan will identify if the Parishioners, Parish Council, District Council or County Council need to be consulted before it could be actioned. The draft plan would then be presented to the parishioners for approval or amendment at an open meeting on the 27th April 2016 before the plan would be given to the Parish Council. With the joint boundary of the two settlements of Pidley and Fenton being one Parish with areas outside of the actual settlements, it was felt that a “Community Plan” would be a more appropriate title than 'Village Plan'.

H/5002/18/CW Warboys Landfill Site, Puddock Hill, Warboys, Cambridgeshire - Construction of a heat and power plant comprising biomass energy from waste (fluidised bed combustion) facility and treatment of waste water by evaporation treatment plant and associated infrastructure comprising tank farm, combuster with 25 metre high chimney, process building, store building, office building, walking floor canopy, car park, fuel storage bays, fire water tank, conveyor, pipe gantry, diesel tank, control room, auxiliary plant skid, high voltage transformers. This application was approved at a meeting of the Planning Committee held on 6th September 2018 but we understand that planning permission has yet to be granted pending completion of a section 106 agreement with the applicants, Sycamore Planning Ltd. This application is extremely controversial, principally because of the nature of the processes proposed but also due to the history of Warboys Landfill Site and past failures by the County Council and the Environment Agency to require planning permission for hazardous landfill and to effectively monitor activities on site respectively. The current application attracted representations from 470 local residents, all but one of whom objected. Objections were submitted by Shailesh Vara MP, the Campaign to Protect Rural England (CPRE), the parish councils of Warboys, Wistow and Pidley-cum- Fenton, the town councils of Ramsey and Chatteris, the British Horse Society, Warboys Community Primary School and Warboys Landfill Action Group.

Wet the Local Government Boundary Commission for England, having carried out our initial review of the electoral arrangements for the District of Huntingdon in accordance with the requirements of Section 63 of, and Schedule 9 to, the Local Government Act 1972, present our proposals for the future electoral arrangements of that District. 2. In accordance with the procedure laid down in section 60(1) and (2) of the 1972 Act, notice was given on 31 January 197^ that we were to undertake this review. This was incorporated in a consultation letter addressed to the Huntingdon District Council, copies of which were circulated to the Cambridgeshire County Council, the Member of Parliament for the constituency concerned and the headquarters of the main political parties. Copies were also sent to the editors of the local newspapers circulating in the area and of the local government press. Notices inserted in the local press announced the start of the review and invited comments from members of the public and from any interested bodies.
