Special Splash! Preview for Season Pass Holders A special “Season Pass Holders Preview Weekend” will be held at the Splash! La Mirada Regional Aquatics Center on Saturday, May 16 and Sunday, May 17. Splash! season passes are on sale now and cost $64 for adults and $49 for children ages 3 through 12 and senior citizens. A family four-pack costs $219. Additional family members may be added onto the family pack for $59 for adults and $45 for children & seniors. The pirate-themed Buccaneer Bay water park area will be open on weekends from May 23 through September 27, and daily from June 17 through September 7. The Buccaneer Bay operating hours will be from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Season passes may be purchased at Splash! or at the La Mirada Re- source Center. Easter Event The City of La Mirada’s annual Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Saturday, April 11 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at La Mirada Regional Park. Bring your family and enjoy games, crafts, music, balloon artists, bounce houses, a petting zoo, and an Easter egg hunt. Special photos with the Easter Bunny will be available for a nominal fee, or capture the moment yourself by bringing your own camera. The Easter Egg Hunt for children ages 10 and under will begin promptly at 10:15 a.m. The age categories are: two and under, children age three, children age four, ages five and six years together, ages seven and eight years together, and ages nine and 10 years together. Participants should arrive at their desig- nated sections 15 minutes prior to the event. Children and parents can enjoy a pancake breakfast before and after the Easter Egg Hunt. For more information, contact the Community Services Department at (562) 943-7277. “4 La Mirada Kids” Community Carnival Enjoy an exciting weekend of rides, food and entertainment at the annual “4 La Mirada Kids” Carnival April 24 through 26 at Benton Middle School. The fun filled weekend features a variety of activities for the entire family. Sponsored by the La Mirada Community Services Foundation, the event raises funds for youth groups and community organizations in La Mirada. Volunteers donate thousands of hours each year to make the carnival a success. Schools and organiza- tions throughout La Mirada use carnival funds to support many educational and extra- curricular opportunities. Pre-sale ride tickets are now available for $10 at the La Mirada Resource Center. A percentage of the proceeds are returned to local schools and organizations that sell the pre-sale tickets. Admission to the Carnival is $2 per person.
