The assistance included paying tuition fees for a group of students unable to meet them at diff erent levels, paying off debts, fi nancial assistance to a number of patients and their families, distributing cash and in-kind amounts, and monthly guarantees for a group of needy families, orphans and widows. HBJ Foundation also provided educational assistance amounting to QR957,000, which included tuition fee pay- ments for a group of students in private schools, commu- nity schools, universities and private academies. In health, HBJ Foundation spent QR871,000 for treating a group of patients and assisting critical illness cases from non-capable societal groups. HBJ Foundation provided social assistance to enhance social activities, programmes and various community ac- tivities in some educational, training and youth centers, amounting to QR1,972,000. Financial aid to needy families amounted to QR2,146,000, while the number of benefi ciaries for monthly fi nancial aid in the fi rst half of 2020 amounted to 770 cases, which re- ceived about QR1,774,000. The HBJ Foundation provided in-kind assistance worth QR528,000, benefi ting 462 cases of Qatari men and women and residents. The HBJ Foundation provided social, fi nancial and in- kind assistance amounting to QR453,000 during the holy month of Ramadan and included fi nancial aid to needy families. It also distributed vouchers to purchase food items worth QR146,400, which were disbursed through the Al Meera Consumer Goods Company, the value of one vouch- er was QR600 of which 244 cases from the local commu- nity benefi ted. Cash aid was distributed to 244 cases of Qatari men and women amounting to QR306,500.
