Only about a tenth of the range’s missile and space flights can be attributed to Army programs, versus more than a third sponsored by each of the other services. Nevertheless, numbers seldom tell the whole story, and we would be guilty of a grave disservice if we overlooked the Army’s impressive achievements in the development of rocket- powered vehicles, missile guidance systems, and reentry vehicle technologies from the late 1940s onward. Several years of experimental flights were conducted at the White Sands Proving Ground before the Army sponsored the first two ballistic missile launches from Cape Canaveral, Florida, in July 1950. In June 1950, the Army moved some of its most important guided missile projects from Fort Bliss, Texas, to Redstone Arsenal near Huntsville, Alabama. Work began in earnest on the REDSTONE ballistic missile program shortly thereafter. In many ways, the early Army missile programs set the tone for the development of other ballistic missiles and range instrumentation by other military branches in the 1950s. PERSHING missile launches continued at the Cape in the 1960s, and they were followed by PERSHING 1A and PERSHING II launches in the 1970s and 1980s. This study begins with a summary of the major events leading up to the REDSTONE missile program at Cape Canaveral. -

December 2019 Dear Parents/Guardians and Students, The information in the enclosed Course Catalog provides important information for planning a successful high school career and setting our students up to reach their full potential. It is important to review the course information carefully and thoroughly prior to making course selections. At East Aurora High School, we offer a wide variety of courses that both challenge our students and provide them with key knowledge and skills to help guide their post-secondary decisions. During the 2019-2020 School Year, we were able to provide Pre-Advanced Placement courses to all of our freshmen in their four core classes and band. We are excited to continue our Pre-Advanced Placement courses to our class of 2024 students, as well as the expansion of Pre-Advanced Placement to our class of 2023 students in Geometry, English, and Chemistry. Over the past several years, we have expanded our Advanced Placement courses; there are 26 Advanced Placement classes offered to our students for the 2020-21 School Year. In addition, we offer classes in partnership with Waubonsee Community College and Fox Valley Career Center that allow our students to graduate with college credit and/or job placement credentials. East Aurora High School offers a variety of elective courses in Career and Technical Education, Family and Consumer Science, Fine and Performing Arts, Business, and World Languages in addition to our core academic classes. There are also robust Physical Education offerings to meet the interests of our students. In addition, we have the honor of housing one of the most distinguished NJROTC units in the country for our students. -

PRIVILEGED ATTORNEY-CLIENT COMMUNICATION EXECUTIVE SUMMARY SECOND AMENDED AND RESTATED LICENSE AGREEMENT (“SPIDER-MAN”) CREATIVE ISSUES This memo summarizes certain terms of the Second Amended and Restated License Agreement (“Spider-Man”) between SPE and Marvel, effective September 15, 2011 (the “Agreement”). 1. CHARACTERS AND OTHER CREATIVE ELEMENTS: a. Exclusive to SPE: . The “Spider-Man” character, “Peter Parker” and essentially all existing and future alternate versions, iterations, and alter egos of the “Spider- Man” character. All fictional characters, places structures, businesses, groups, or other entities or elements (collectively, “Creative Elements”) that are listed on the attached Schedule 6. All existing (as of 9/15/11) characters and other Creative Elements that are “Primarily Associated With” Spider-Man but were “Inadvertently Omitted” from Schedule 6. The Agreement contains detailed definitions of these terms, but they basically conform to common-sense meanings. If SPE and Marvel cannot agree as to whether a character or other creative element is Primarily Associated With Spider-Man and/or were Inadvertently Omitted, the matter will be determined by expedited arbitration. All newly created (after 9/15/11) characters and other Creative Elements that first appear in a work that is titled or branded with “Spider-Man” or in which “Spider-Man” is the main protagonist (but not including any team- up work featuring both Spider-Man and another major Marvel character that isn’t part of the Spider-Man Property). The origin story, secret identities, alter egos, powers, costumes, equipment, and other elements of, or associated with, Spider-Man and the other Creative Elements covered above. The story lines of individual Marvel comic books and other works in which Spider-Man or other characters granted to SPE appear, subject to Marvel confirming ownership. -

Visa Waiver Program (VWP) Signatory Carriers February 1, 2020 In order to facilitate the arrival of Visa Waiver Program (VWP) passengers, carriers need to be signatory to a current agreement with U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP). A carrier is required to be signatory to an agreement in order to transport aliens seeking admission as nonimmigrant visitors under the VWP (Title 8, U.S.C. § 1187(a)(5). The carriers listed below are currently signatory to the VWP and can transport passengers under the program. The date indicates the expiration of the current signed agreement. Agreements are valid for 7 years. If you transport VWP passengers and are not a signatory carrier, fines will be levied. MAKING THE REVOLUTION: AMERICA, 1763-1791 PRIMARY SOURCE COLLECTION PHILIP FRENEAU, The British Prison-Ship, 1781 __ __ Heavens! may I never feel the poignant pain, / To live subjected to such brutes again; * Known as the Poet of the American Revolution, Philip Freneau wrote The British Prison Ship as the first-person account of a six- week ordeal on British prison ships, on which an estimated 11,500 Americans died during the war. Although some facts in the poem conflict with ships’ records and Freneau’s own prose account, it is likely that Freneau was describing his own experiences as a young prisoner in his twenties.1 Presented here are the imprisonment sections of the first and least-known version, published only months after Freneau’s release in summer 1780. He revised the poem six times over the next three decades, retaining the details of the prisoners’ harsh treatment but removing his furied denunciations of Britain. Included in the sidebars are selections from Freneau’s prose narrative, Some Account of the Capture of the Ship Aurora, written in 1780 and published in 1899. As recounted in Canto I, the privateer Aurora was captured in 1780 while sailing down the Delaware River, its destination St. Eustatia in the western Caribbean islands. It was taken to New York harbor where Britain moored most of its prison ships during the war. See map, p. 2.
