The project execution and implementation will be through Sagarmala Development Company Ltd (SDCL), which is under the administrative control of the Ministry. Several destinations are envisaged for seaplane operations. The proposed origin-destination pairs under hub-and-spoke model include various islands of Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep, Guwahati Riverfront and Umranso Reservoir in Assam, Yamuna Riverfront / Delhi (as Hub) to Ayodhaya, Tehri, Srinagar (Uttarakhand), Chandigarh and other tourist places of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh; Mumbai (as Hub) to Shirdi, Lonavala, Ganpatipule; Surat (as Hub) to Dwarka, Mandvi and Kandla; Khindsi Dam, Nagpur and Erai Dam, Chandrapur (in Maharashtra) and/or any other hub and spoke suggested by the operator. One such Seaplane Service is already in operation between Kevadia and Sabarmati Riverfront in Ahmedabad. To run more such services in the coastal areas or proximity to water bodies, SDCL is keen to associate with the interested scheduled/non-scheduled airline operators. -

This land of rare natural beauty is steeped in history and culture, but it has still kept up with the times, Kerala has taken its tourism very seriously. It is not for nothing than that the Eden in these tropics; God’s own country was selected by National Geographic Traveler as one of its 50 “destination of life time”. When it comes to building a result oriented development programme, data collection is key in any sector. To capitalize the opportunity to effectively bench mark, it is essential to collect data’s concerned with the matter. In this context statistical analysis of tourist arrivals to a destination is gaining importance .We need to assess whether the development of destination is sufficient to meet the requirements of visiting tourists. Our plan of action should be executed in a meticulous manner on the basis of the statistical findings. Abstract Kerala being the diabetic capital of India, need to evolve a less expensive method to reduce the tangible and intangible cost of type 2 diabetes mellitus(T2DM). Hospital based single blinded randomised controlled trial was undertaken at Indian Institute of diabetes, Kerala, India with an aim to assess the effect of multilateral health care strategies on metabolic profile. Pre-diabetic individuals were screened using American Diabetic Association criteria and randomly allocated to experimental and control group. Experimental group received 3 weeks training in yoga, exercise and healthy diet preparation. Control group received only heath counselling alone on diabetes prevention. Subjects were followed up for one year. The multiple health strategies were planned based on evidences and successfully implemented to curtail the menace of DM in India. The present paper details the multiple health care strategies and methodology addressing the primary prevention of primary prevention of T2DM. Key words: pre-diabetes, metabolic profile, life style modification, yoga Introduction Kerala. Overall prevalence of type 2 diabetes in an urban district of Kerala was 16.3%. In the 30-64 age group, Diabetes is a metabolic disease demonstrated age standardised prevalence was 13.7%. -
