A Breath of Fresh Air Blows on the FEQ!
July 5 to 15, 2018 PRESS RELEASE For immediate release A breath of fresh air blows on the FEQ! Québec City, Wednesday, March 7, 2018 – Festival d’été de Québec is making a big splash by bringing together the biggest names in international music and unveiling a decidedly contemporary program for its 51st edition! Foo Fighters, The Weeknd, Beck, The Chainsmokers, Shawn Mendes, Future, Lorde, Cyndi Lauper, Avenged Sevenfold and Dave Matthews Band will all be meeting in Québec City from July 5 to 15th. FEQ has entrusted the carte blanche evening to Patrice Michaud for an unrivaled concept show. FEQ will also welcome the legendary Neil Young for his very first visit to the Capital: a long-awaited visit that will attract huge crowds to the only show he will present in Canada. “The FEQ passed an important milestone with its 50th anniversary. Now we are looking to the future and continue to innovate with a modern and diversified program. This next edition is following world trends very closely: we’ll be having a lineup of top stars from many leading festivals, and we’re convinced that festival-goers from all parts of the world will be flocking here this summer,” explained the Interim General Manager, Claude Doré. OUTDOOR STAGES BELL STAGE ON THE PLAINS OF ABRAHAM An explosive reunion is expected for festival-goers and the Foo Fighters, who clearly intend to finish performing the show they began in 2015. That show was cut short after four songs by a severe storm. Ever since that surprise turn of events, legions of rock fans have been clamoring for a long-awaited return. -

Coca-Cola Stage Backgrounder 2016
May 26, 2016 BACKGROUNDER 2016 Coca-Cola Stage lineup Christian Hudson Appearing Thursday, July 7, 7 p.m. Website: http://www.christianhudsonmusic.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/ChristianHudsonMusic Twitter: www.twitter.com/CHsongs While most may know Christian Hudson by his unique and memorable performances at numerous venues across Western Canada, others seem to know him by his philanthropy. This talented young man won the prestigious Calgary Stampede Talent Show last summer but what was surprising to many was he took his prize money of $10,000 and donated it all to the local drop-in centre. He was touched by the stories he was told by a few people experiencing homelessness he had met one night prior to the contest’s finale. His infectious originals have caught the ears of many in the industry that are now assisting his career. He was honoured to receive 'The Spirit of Calgary' Award at the inaugural Vigor Awards for his generosity. Hudson will soon be touring Canada upon the release of his first single on national radio. JJ Shiplett Appearing Thursday, July 7, 8 p.m. Website: http://www.jjshiplettmusic.com/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/jjshiplettmusic/ Twitter: www.twitter.com/jjshiplettmusic Rugged, raspy and reserved, JJ Shiplett is a true artist in every sense of the word. Unapologetically himself, the Alberta born singer-songwriter and performer is both bold in range and musical creativity and has a passion and reverence for the art of music and performance that has captured the attention of music fans across the country. He spent the major part of early 2016 as one of the opening acts on the Johnny Reid tour and is also signed to Johnny Reid’s company. -

Sam Roberts Band, Dean Brody, Cadence Weapon, Dear Rouge and More to Play First-Ever Canada Day House Party, Presented by AIR MILESÒ
Sam Roberts Band, Dean Brody, Cadence Weapon, Dear Rouge and more to play first-ever Canada Day House Party, presented by AIR MILESÒ Join all-Canadian lineup of musicians for virtual Canada Day celebration on July 1 at CanadaDayHouseParty.ca Toronto, June 16, 2020 – On July 1, iconic Canadian rockers Sam Roberts Band will perform alongside a diverse, all-Canadian lineup at the first-ever virtual Canada Day House Party, presented by AIR MILES and benefitting the Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA). The interactive six-hour festival, announced today by FRC Marketing and partners Proof Experiences and Noisemaker Management, will bring together Canadian musicians, celebrities, contests, giveaways, recipes, games and more to celebrate Canada Day 2020 – and Canadians can watch it all from the comfort of their own homes at www.CanadaDayHouseParty.ca. With portions of the virtual show being broadcast live from Paris, Ontario, the event brings together an impressive lineup of performers as diverse in talent and backgrounds as the country they call home. While July 1 celebrations may look a little different this year thanks to Canadians doing their part to stay home and practice safe social distancing, Canada Day House Party presented by AIR MILES provides a platform and forum for all Canadians to come together to celebrate Canada Day. “The past few months have been incredibly challenging for a lot of Canadians, and we wanted to give everyone an opportunity to come together as a country under one ‘virtual’ roof,” said Kevin Goodman, Chief Entertainment Officer at FRC Marketing. “The Canada Day House Party will do just that.
