EAST COAST ALL-STARS PLAYER INFORMATION #01 Anthony Johnson 6-3 Fr. Guard Purdue 2011 — Redshirted his first year in the Purdue program. Given a four-star rating, ranked as the No. 100 overall recruit and ranked as the No. 25 shooting guard in his class by Rivals.com. An ESPNU Super 60 member following his sophomore season. Ranked as the No. 2 recruit in the state of Illinois in the Class of 2010. A McDonald's All-America nominee as a senior. #05 Matt Gatens 6-5 Sr. Forward Iowa 2011 — Honorable Mention all-Big Ten honoree. Led Iowa in scoring (12.6), steals (1.3) and second in assists (1.8). Notched a career high 25 points in win over Indiana as a sophomore. Set the Iowa single-season record for free throw percentage (.904). Two time Nike All American. Named Iowa's high school "Mr. Basketball" and Gatorade Player of the Year in Iowa. #12 Baye Mousa Keita 6-10 So. Forward Syracuse 2011 — Led the Syracuse Orangemen with a season high 15 rebounds in one contest, also had a personal high of six steals and 11 rebounds against National Champion Connecticut. Keita was selected to the 2008 Jordan International Team that competed in the Jordan Brand Classic at Madison Square Garden, New York City. Was also a participant in the 2008 Nike Global Challenge for Senegal. #20 Brandon Triche 6-4 Jr. Guard Syracuse 2011 — Named to the Wooden Award Preseason Top 50 List. In his freshman season Triche started all 35 games and was voted to the Big East Conference All Rookie Team. He was also named a Freshman All American by collegeinsider.com. In high school was named the New York Class A Player of the Year. Triche was rated the 26th best shooting guard in the nation by Scout Inc. #21 Pe’Shon Howard 6-3 So. Guard Maryland 2011 — Started eight contests for the Terrapins in his freshman season posting a better than two to one assist to turnover ratio. Can score both inside and out, Howard graded at 92 by ESPN.com. Point guard who prepped on nationally ranked Oak Hill Academy averaging 14 points, 5.5 assists, 3.0 steals, leading Warriors to 29-4 record... Oak Hill was 40-1 during his junior season. #22 Rodney McGruder 6-4 So. Forward Kansas State 2011 — Started all 34 games as a sophomore. Named Third Team All BIG 12 Conference by numerous publications. In high school was regarded as one of the top shooting guards in the country. Ranked No. 20 by Rivals.com and No. 33 by ESPN Scouts, Inc. Named co-most valuable player of the Reebok All-American Game, where he posted a team-high 24 points and seven rebounds. #24 Bryce Cartwright 6-1 Sr. Guard Iowa 2011 — Honorable Mention All-Big Ten Selection. Became only the sixth Hawkeye to lead the Big Ten in assists since 1975. One of only two Hawkeyes to ever be credited with eight assists or more in four-straight games. His 182 assists last season ranks fifth most in a single-season at Iowa. Played in all 31 games, starting the last 26 at point. McDonald's High School All-American nominee. #31 Mike Bruesewitz 6-6 Jr. Forward Wisconsin 2011 —Scored 10 of 12 points in second half comeback win over No. 1 Ohio State University. Bruesewitz averaged 8.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in Wisconsin’s three NCAA Tournament games. A relentless rebounder and maximum effort player, nearly half of his career rebounds have come on the offensive glass. Minnesota Gatorade and AP High School Player of the Year. #45 Jack Cooley 6-9 Jr. Forward Notre Dame 2011 — Physical forward played in all 34 games for the Irish. A big part of Notre Dame’s 27-7 record. Led the Irish in scoring with 18 points versus South Florida on February 12th. Nominated for McDonald's All-American in 2009. Named to the Illinois Basketball Coaches Association All-State First Team. Posted a triple-double in prep netting 22 points, 22 rebounds, and 11 blocks. #55 Elliott Eliason 6-11 Fr. Center Minnesota 2011 — A redshirt for the Golden Gophers in the 2010-2011 season. Has great size and plays hard on both ends of the floor. Was selected the Gatorade Player of the Year in the state of Nebraska in his junior and senior seasons. Averaged 17.7 points, 10.2 rebounds, 4.2 blocks, and 2.9 assists in his senior season at Chadron High School, leading them to the C-1 State Championship game.
