Muster Directions Accommodation The Venue Address : Tennants, Auction Centre, Harmby Road, Leyburn, North Yorkshire DL8 5SG Tel : 01969-623780 (for direction / venue queries, not for society enquiries) Directions The easiest route is from the A1(M) in the east. Under normal traffic conditions expect a journey of approximately 20 minutes from the A1, 90 minutes from the M6 or 60 minutes from Skipton. From the A1 Coming from the north or south, exit at Junction 51 (Northallerton/Bedale A684). Take the exit A684 Bedale. Follow the two-way road as it runs parallel to the motorway. At the next roundabout turn right (past the services/McDonalds on your left). At the junction, turn left and join the A684 towards Bedale.Once on the A684, the journey is approximately 20 minutes from here. Follow the road through Aiskew crossing the railway line into Bedale. Come to a T-junction and turn right which takes you through Bedale market place and out of the town. Continue on the A684 through Crakehall, Patrick Brompton and Constable Burton. You will come to some traffic lights over a narrow railway bridge. Please ensure you pull right up to the line at the lights to trigger the sensor. Then continue on through Harmby where you will see the Pheasant Inn on your right. Continue on the A684 for 1/2 mile and after 2 open fields, the first building as you come into Leyburn on your right is Tennants. From the M6 Take Junction 37 from the M6 and follow the A684 east through Sedbergh, Garsdale Head, Appersett, Hawes and into Bainbridge. You will come to a T-junction, turn right still on the A684 towards Aysgarth/ Leyburn. Continue on the A684 through Aysgarth, Swinithwaite, West Witton, Wensley and onto Leyburn. As you arrive in Leyburn, come to a mini roundabout and turn right, signposted Bedale. Continue along this road, past the petrol station on your right, the train station on your left and after half a mile, the last building on your left before open fields is Tennants. From West Yorkshire area From all major towns in West Yorkshire go to Skipton (eg A65 from Leeds, A650 from Bradford). From Skipton take the B6265 towards Grassington. Just before you get to Grassington, at Threshfield, take the B6160 signposted Kettlewell through Upper Wharfedale, past Kilnsey, through Kettlewell, Starbotton and Buckden. Continue on the B6160 over the tops out of upper Wharfedale as the road then drops down into Bishopdale, passing The Street Head Inn on your left, continue on past West Burton and after a further mile come to a junction. Turn right onto the A684 through Swinithwaite, West Witton, Wensley and onto Leyburn. As you arrive in Leyburn, come to a mini roundabout and turn right, signposted Bedale. Continue along this road, past the petrol station on your right, the train station on your left and after half a mile, the last building on your left before open fields is Tennants. On arrival at Tennants Turn right into Tennants and park on the gravel care park on your right. The main entrance to the conference centre building is then visible directly in front of you opposite this car park. In reception, the cafe is on your left, the restaurant and lift is on your right. Many toilets throughout the building in all areas. A sign will direct you upstairs to the Mecca Muster reception. For instance, within the next three years we want to see a new, locally-tailored and locally-delivered environmental land management scheme that better rewards farmers in the National Park. “The 50 proposed objectives would be delivered by many different local bodies.
