Manures Available

Sheep Manure – 70 Litre bag - $10 each – Approx. 1 bag per 5sqm

Sheep manure is a natural 100% organic slow release fertiliser and probably the most versatile of all manures. It can be used around roses, vegetable gardens, native plants or dug into bare soil. Also popular for using as a top dressing/mulch around existing plants. Our manure is collected from the feed lots before exporting and are grain fed giving it the term “weed free”. Sheep manure is generally in pellet form but you will always get a small proportion of broken down material as it dries. Sheep manure won’t burn plant roots because of its low nutrient value but it is great for adding structure to the soil and probably the most favourite manure for all gardeners.

Composted Cow Manure – 70 litre Bag - $10 each – Approx. 1 bag per 5sqm

Our cow manure has been slowly composted with organic material to help improve soil structure and water holding capacity plus increasing the nutrient value of the soil due to being rich in organic nitrogen. Although very similar to sheep manure it is slightly more acidic so will help those soils that require a lower PH. Already aged for approximately 2 to 3 months the manure can be used straight away and won’t burn your plants unlike fresh cow dung. And remember… older is better when adding manure to your garden.

Chicken Manure – 40 Litre bag - $10 each

Of all the manures available Chicken Manure is the highest in nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus. Our Chicken manure is fresh and collected from under the coups south of the river therefore we recommend you compost or leave to age before applying. Composted is best for vegetable gardens but it must be used wisely as it can burn young plants and harm the roots. Being high nitrogen it is excellent for lawns and be sure to use wisely around native plants. This poo packs a punch but used right it will give your garden the “black gold” status often received.

Blended Manure (Sheep, Cow and Chicken) - 30 Litre Bag – $7 each
